Diff Forces, diff Squadron, diff Company, diff Units I guess = different scenarios.

I MRed with only 7HK + 1 LK spread from Nov 1998 to Nove 2010 (12 years).

the ORNS year is only counted provided if you got attend at least a 0.5day SAF100 callup per year. Those years which they did not call you up for ICT is NOT counted as ORNS year.

for your case, you only serve 7HK + 8 ORNS years

let say you ORD in 2003, and by this year 2013, you only serve 3HK + 2LK......, thus you are only have 3HK + 5 ORNS years......NOT 10 years(only the year that you are being callup for ICT is valid, those year which no callup is not counted)

Well anyway as long as the country is not in imminent danger or extreme lack of manpower they will try not to touch you.

Sometimes if you are specially trained or very well proficient in certain skillset they may offer to ask you to come back to serve...

The question is whether u will MR soon after u get cpf money.

For me I get nothing except a $300 as a "consolation". For you, if your last ICT is on or after 29th August 2010, you should get the 3rd milestone 3k.

You should get the money if u meet the milestone criteria after but not sure before or after MR.

Perhaps you are right that I only serveed 8 ORNS years but NDP was never counted towards ICT HK or LK which I was involved in NDP 2001 as supporting contigent and all of us know that NDP involved several months of weekend burnts.

The thing is not up to us to determine the call-back right? If GARMENT wanna give me the $3K, they can continue to call me back for another 1 or 2 HKs to fulfil the 10 ICTs cycles but they decided to MRed me before I can complete the ORNS 10 cycles so they can "save" the 3k and made me "not eligible" since I "DID NOT" meet the 3rd milestone criteria.

So says you not MRed yet and you have been called for 8HKs but only 1LKs and they MRed you .. you end up "eligible" caused your final ICT is on or after 29th August 2010 or not since you clocked only ORNS 9 years?

I received a letter to attend my MR parade 30 June, unfortunately I am overseas (biz trip)... what will happen if I miss this parade? Actually I am thinking of flying back earlier to attend, especially to meet my fellow platoonmates (past 12yrs of NSF + NSMEN life)... this official ending note to my military obligation

u will need to make an appt with your unit to collect your MR cert and watch.

whether to fly back earlier or not depends on yourself.

Yes, applicable for most units though not all.

Think someone here mention before that now if you have 2 or more low keys that added up to 7 days and above within the same financial workyear, they will allow you to clock as 1 high key.

If that's true, then the two low keys that you had during 15/16 workyear will be counted as 1 high key.

So your ICT from 12 jun 2017 - 23 jun 2017 will be your last HK and you will be able to MR after that
