where you get your information that a lot of Taiwanese are in singapore fighting for jobs when the govt is not releasing any data even when asked by the WP
Just look at changi airport & the hotel industry in Singapore. Lots of them

taipei city reduced 1/3 of their debts in his first term, while all other cities and counties are accumulating debts. he improved the project efficiency from 66% to 80%, and this improvement gave him tons of extra cash on more projects.

rast time govt projects low efficiency, everytime need to apply for extra budget. now efficiency went up, projects completed within budget or sometimes less than budget, saved the finance dept tons of money to be used elsewhere.

sounds like lim guan eng in penang actually :s12::s12:

yup. he ish very popular with the younger gen. promote all sorts of startups, tech coys, gaming industry, music industry etc, and ish not afraid to join them even thou he got no idea whats going on.

he oso try to tackle the structural unemployment issue by linking up their ITE/tech schs with mfg coys, and have technicians and engineers directly teaching the kids to design and make stuff. some of their ideas for home carer ish very tokong. all done by students.

and his iconic traits as mayor ish every morning start work 7:30am for the last 5yrs, and take bus to office. he has no official knock off time, works on wkends too. his subordinates had to take shifts while he tong until at least 10pm in office to oversee their work.
