I thought USB to HDMI converters essentially involve an additional display adaptor to do the conversion?

IMO getting laptop with full size HDMI port shouldn't be that hard as quite a few laptops seem to come with it these days in both 13" laptops and larger.

smaller the screen size the higher possibility its using micro-hdmi.

ya i think should be the same for USB-HDMI and HDMI since its just a adaptor.

Sorry I think my post was unclear. I'm saying that USB-HDMI is NOT just a different plug. There would need to be a box or display adaptor somewhere along the way to do the conversion and act as a mini graphics card. If you're trying to play games (i.e. something which uses graphics accelerator) then it probably will suffer as the USB to HDMI converters are doing the processing instead (and I doubt these are going to be comparable in performance). More likely to perform similar to Displaylink adaptors (the ones which use USB to monitor).

I got the TP13.

1540 payment with cash. 3rd floor LENOVO themed shop near escalator, in front of Addon.

The keyboard flexes when pressed down on, but so does the X250 display set.

you can look for ThinkPad notebooks, Dell XPS 13, ASUS UX305 @ AddOn in Funan. open till 30 June for Funan stores before they shift, hence some of the models could be on promotion. check them out at the stores and decide on the ones you feel most comfortable with.

DELL Inspiron 7359 i5 500GB+8GB 13.3"Touch S$1198.00

Worth buying?

Reviews sound so so. 500gb+8gb just means it's an SSHD. Will be slightly better than a pure HD but not huge difference. Price sounds reasonable though for the specs.

That being said I wonder why it's no longer listed as available on Dell website: http://www.dell.com/sg/p/inspiron-13-7359-laptop/pd
Maybe it's one of the ones being replaced by Dell's recent announcement.

was about to settle my mind to buy Lenovo E460 - but the battery is no-removable.

$1,299 at Funan.

Saw the brochure, free 2nd and 3rd yrs extended warranty cum thinkpad carrying case.

My current shortlisted are yoga 510 , ideapad 510, 710 or dell 13 5368, dell 13 7359.

If price not an issue -XPS.

When bought my current Lenovo 710S, ThinkPad E460 is my first choice, followed by Dell XPS and IdeaPad.

Btw XPS at 1699 now is quite a catch.
Dilemma between Asus UX305UA and Dell XPS 13. Any advices?

Thanks for the advice! How's your IdeaPad doing so far? Saw it on the web, the design seems not bad!

Physical wise is really good to handle.

I'm also using my old IdeaPad bought in 2011 which lasted till now.

The only problem is the Windows 10 restarting problem I'm facing.

XPS is a good choice and also try to bargin with the shop to give u a 8GB RAM.
