His pattern sure chiong with some boot licker.

That movie is Abang adik produced in MY and he won best leading actor award in the Golden Horse ceremony.

The story started with Aaron and Chow Yun Fatt reading MB Lee's (Tony Leung) file, which is a supposedly highly classified file obtained from UK. At the closing of the movie, Aaron says the events did not make sense. Chow said the records could be fake, but you are RCP (real commissioner Police). Then Louis Koo come in said someone was trying to rewrite history.

The whole storyline is full of loophopes and does not explain why another person bypassed MB Lee to become Commissioner. Even though MB Lee spoke to the British in 1994 and understood the British were manupilating the HKPF , he looked clueless when he was introduced to the baddies in the 2nd movie.
