anyone knows anywhere that has updated info on traveling to GZ from HK?

i was reading that they advice that u need 6 hours to get through customs that GZ side??? i mean is that CNY period? or is it just really busy (or slow)?

Are you talking about train travel direct to GZ? I don't think it is so bad.

Wholesale centre is near Guangzhou Railway Station. As long as you have a direct train line to there, should be fine. Or use Didi Chuxing, absolute ease to use.

You can't have a suit tailored in this amount of time. In any case, you can visit 广州中大布匹市场 next time, which has the wholesale fabric market as well as tailors. You will notice that not so many people wear suits as compared to Shanghai.
Watches? 广州站西钟表城 located west of Guangzhou station.
Leather goods？Do you mean shoes or belts or custom?

Thanks for your reply. I will be GZ for 5 days. Would it be possible to tailor a suit? Or any where to buy high quality off the rack suits and alter ?

As for leather products, shoes , bags , small leather goods ....you mean they can custom make as well? What’s the lead time ?

5 days is more feasible. You need at least a fitting between making the order and collection. Off-the-rack, you may want to check Septwolves.
I've never had leather stuff custom-made in Guangzhou. Guihuagang at Sanyuanli near Guangzhou station is the place to visit.

This one is also at Sanyuanli/Guihuagang. Don't know what exactly you need, so it is worthwhile for you to go there first to see for yourself. The area of Sanyuanli and Guihuagang in general trade in leather products. There is no ONE place.

I've never looked for fake watches. If you want to go into this, there is already risk involved.

Am going to guangzhou during jan and wish to check on how we able to set up wechat pay or alipay ... heard that most of the shopping areas prefer to transacted in wechat pay or alipay than cash ..

Also any mobile carrier to recommend and do i need to set up vpn before hand ?
