i ordered from taobao and ship via taobao agent.

I got two extra, 1 black 1 silver.
pm me ur offer if u interested.

Hi how much your agent charge your for shipping the enclosures and what is the weight of your package. Do they charge your for volumetric weight or actual weight.

I will be getting other stuff from china so wonder how much shipping cost would be consider reasonable or more cost-effective.

the ovation USB 3.0 and the Astone's using VIA VLI700-4 chipset btw. if anyone needs this info...

If your USB controller is the dreaded Etron EJ168, there may be problems of the enclosure dropping down to USB 2.0 speeds.

FYI...the IT-CEO, ASTONE and SSK one i used all shows up in devices as AS2105...

so it is ASmedia chipset?

Is that Vantec Nexstar using an Asmedia or JMicron chipset?

The print on the chip is too tiny to see.

Anyway, the casing is not working. Tested it on my desktop and notebook. Both unable to detect it. At first, I thought the new SSD was faulty. But when I connected my SSD directly to the M/B SATA, it worked fine. Tested with HDD also. Unable to detect.

Looks like have to bring it back to SLS to exchange.
