it is a western digital hdd. i'm not sure if it is hdd failure or enclosure failure. i had a previous WD 2.5" that fails too.
rite now, i noticed that sometimes some computer had difficulty reading and detecting it. but sometimes it does read and the data inside is intact.
i use a short usb3 cable (about 40-50cm) for easier carrying around, but at home i had another usb cable extension (ie 2 wires). could it be due to the poor quality of the extension cable?
should i have bought hdd/enclosure/cables separately and is there any good recommendations?
