Hi guys
I am planning the itinerary for my family this coming Jul 2023.
My plane will touch down 615am narita airport and I plan to head straight to Disney land and stay nearby hotel for 2 nights.
Anyone been this route and is it manageable?
After 2 nights here will go over Tokyo for about 8 nights and then rent a car to Hakone and mt fuji.
As my flight back is in the morning 8.15am. Thus we decide on return the car in narita airport during out drive back from mt fuji.
Anyone have any advice for my planned itinerary?
Thanks and appreciated.
6.15am u reach narita airport, u gotta find a way to disneyland. Theres no airport limo services anymore. Most prob u can only cab there. Alternatively, check out car rental from airport to and park at the hotel for 2 days. Might be cheaper than taking a cab from airport to disneyland.

Also, from Fuji to narita airport is also quite out of the way, u might wanna consider putting your family back at the hotel first before u do a solo drive over to the airport to return. Airport to shinjuku by limo bus is around 1.5hours. if cab its 1hour but do cost u alot of $.

wah. quite similar to me. but im going end may/early june. also 3 kids (all below 6) and also from narita to disney.
now researching too so your post is timely
quite similar to mine too! i'm also going to Japan in Jul 2023 and planning to go from Narita --> Disneyland with my kid (3yo). Fretting about the transport betw Narita and Disney until i read about the temp. Forgot that it would be summer then.. sigh. Maybe would plan full trip in Hokkaido instead. Initially, I wanted to stop over in Tokyo just to bring my girl to Disneyland.

Below are the experience I got.

My first child visit Disneysea (March 2016) when she was 3yo.
when she saw the mascot, she laugh.
other than that, I dun recall she smile much as it’s too young for her to understand and she dun really recalled much when we show her the photos years later.

when she 4yo, we visit Japan again (May 2017).
red eye flight touch down 8am and drop off luggage and begin to walk around cos checkin is after 3pm.
totally restless and walk like zombie due to lack of rest during flight.

Stay at Hakone Hotel one night and basically hotel surrounding got nothing much and it’s quite dark in the night.

July is hotter than May and most kids usually will make noise if the place they visit does not interest them or under the hot sun…..

Wun it be tiring to drive in a place you are not familiar with and with 3 young kids to look after?

would suggest you to take a public transport if you are traveling light and to get some rest while
traveling from point to point.

3 yo usually don't remember. Appreciate for sure. They will laugh and enjoy what you point out to them and enjoy as well.

My then 2 yo didn't remember Sanrioland. She look at photos she remember and see we are happy as a family. Her younger brother just ask why he isn't in the photo.

IMHO young kid bring do the stuff you enjoy together as a family. The kid will enjoy if you are happy. If you enjoy Disney stuff as well then go ahead. Take advantage of child swap if you can. If not Hokkaido Lavender fields peak around that time.
