But even if its temporary isn't it a concern that it will eventually lead to something worst? I am sure there will be degenaration of some sorts on e panel due to tis, plus its quite irritating tat u spent so much only to see image retention on yr new tv......no?![]()
then it's burn in that you are really concerned about, since that is permanent. image retention typically can be remediated by running compensation cycles. all TV panel technologies have their drawbacks, backlit panels will have blooming effect, VA LCD panels have lousy viewing angles, IPS panels have poor gray uniformity, etc. at least burn in can be prevented by making sure you do not have static images displayed for extended period of time, all the other drawbacks I've mentioned cannot be mitigated, you just have to live with it.
