Price is still quite steep... The mastercard 500 debit has no expiry date? 200 choice voucher can only use at harvey? I can still hold out for about 2 months max... Hopefully the price will drop a little.

bought a few things but put a deposit... if i can find a better tv at a lower cost. will cancel it man.. the choice voucher can use mainly in all supermarkets - 500 mastercard is a debit card - think i will just use it to pay off some bills and stuff lol (provided i am still getting this TV)

Also, I just realised I was setting my hdmi sound output on the TV as pcm, should set it as auto for my receiver to detect the atmos. (This is to get atmos from the netflix app.. The amaze demo from usb still has no sound). But it doesn't always detect as atmos. Testing on the movie "Bright" sometimes it just detects as Dolby 7.1 instead of Atmos.

Edit: Solved..had to press the sound mode on the Receiver..even though it's display already showed the atmos speaker layout

Just to check, does anyone has this experience of the C7T having smoke coming out from the TV. My kid was watching the LG 65C7T then all the sudden, smoke was coming out from the rear of the TV. I quickly turned off the TV and pulled out the plug. TV is just 6 months old

My set was having quite a fair bit of banding, can even be seemed when starting native netflix/amazon vid app. Running 5% & 10% slides was even worst, really is jailbar city.
Called up LG on the 7th day after delivery of tv and arranged a LG tech to come inspect on the 11th day.
The tech agreed that the banding was bad enough and agreed to put up a report for 1 to 1 exchange else will be panel replacement. Sweet...:s13::s13:
Ytd received a call from retailer that LG asked them to do a 1 to 1 exchange. :s13::s13:

I understand OLED banding is inevitable, so hoping the new set will be better, at least less visible during watching contents. Why is there still ex-stock for 65C7, if not maybe will auto upgraded to C8. :s12::s12:

Have to redo burn in slides for at least 100h again ;(

Hi Bros, need help with HDMI (ARC)

I have my LG OLED55C7T and LG SK8Y soundbar, I connected a working HDMI cable (unsure of specs) from the TV port label HDMI 2 (ARC) to the soundbar port label (HDMI OUT ARC). I then proceed to change in my TV sound settings SOUND OUT > External Speaker OPT/HDMI ARC, as for the soundbar I changed the source to HDMI/OPT. but there is no sound output from my soundbar.

Can bros here advise which went wrong?

Most likely display set return to warehouse for refurbish.

Brand new set, checked TV 0hr used. unless they factory reset and send to me.
Anyway, my 2nd brand new set 1to1 exchange was even worse than 1st set... there are dark colored patches in the middle and sides of the screen. very visible from YT app right out of the box. Rejected right away and shop contacted LG direct to work something out with me.
3rd exchange was just panel replacement, no dark patches and I do not want to run anymore slides but still can see some banding even from the light grey amazon loading screen.
tired of changing so just enjoy and living with it.:s13::s13:

Think banding is common issue for OLED, even for normal LED/LCD TV just that is not as bad as OLED. It may be reduced by some firmware optimization. Make sure your TV update to latest firmware level or may be wait for new firmware to see it get improve.

If you get dark patch at middle and side. I believe that's a demo set. My guess is the burn in effect of OLED.
I was told those demo OLED set need to be swap out frequently to minimum these symptom. Not sure if thisbis other promoter try to downplay OLED TV.
