Hi all, I was at Marina Square and Gain City is having some promo on LG. I went to the store to ask about the 55C7T and they straight away gave me $2550 without any free gift. Might be able to ask for lower.

Quite a lot of TV stations nowadays animates and/or changes the logo positioning periodically. So the img burn in likely won’t occur unless you watch a few hrs of FTA TV and same station at one go.

Regular watching of 1-2hrs shdn’t be an issue although on a long term of 3-7yrs, no one can guarantee either.

Go chk this link out ... rtings.com and search for Image Burn-in Test.

Users of LG OLED TV, is it true that LG OLED TV is very susceptible to image burn if you watch any stations with banners or static logos, Mediacorp channels or other channels with Static logos.

If really at $2550, don’t wait anymore! Superb deal! Just got mine within last week at $2600.

Oled is susceptible to image burn.

Tho LG claim that their newest oled is much less susceptible now.

I'm sometimes not sure if getting oled is worth for watching TV shows

If u watch more than 3-4hrs of regular TV shows a day, I’d suggest avoid OLED TVs.
I’m getting it Becos I watch series/movies 80-90% on this TV while my regular TV i watch on a non-OLED TV.

LG 55" A7 OLED Full HD TV

Forum members thoughts on the LG 55" A7 OLED Full HD TV? Saw offers for $2399 online so should be able to get it lower as the C7 is available for $2700, it lacks 4K, HDR etc. but given that there is not much HDR content available to view is it worth considering over the C7 for the right price point? One could argue that the content might be available in a year or two and you stuck with a FHD non-HDR TV but is the 4K/HDR hype worth it?

Those interested in the OLED Burn-in issue can check out the RTINGS website for a test that they are conducting, results will be out in 2 weeks and then we should have a definite answer to this query.

Any idea when launching for the 2019 model in singapore?

i suppose you are actually asking about the 2018 models? only indication is last cycle of 2017 line up, which was announced at CES 2017 one year ago, and started selling in Singapore at around early May 2017.
