Just had mine delivered too. All set up and ready to go.

Phone feels really good in hand. You can feel there is a difference between the 2 XL and 3 XL.

For those of you that suffering from Currency exchange commission charges by bank credit cards .

You may want to write to Google to feedback on their deceiving setup to quote price in Absolute SGD in actual fact , it actual transaction is not .As a result of this...Bank is charging extra admin fee on Non-SGD transaction.


I did feedback to Google ,but they seem to quote on the point from their end,they are charging exact local currency per their tax invoice .


I am lucky enough to get back the refund from Bank but not all will be as luck.

More feedback/complaint ..they will realize and force to improve.

I think maybe this is something like when we make purchases on Steam although transact in SGD, still will be charged the 2.8% by visa/mastercard?

Haha I was still bent on finding (or paying!) for apps to do this. I used photoscan a few times, it works but the edges in scanned images looks rather soft. Could be a lighting issue.

I recommend Natural or Boosted for those who find Natural too dull. On my Pixel 2 XL it is a very significant difference when comparing my display with my peers' samsung overly saturated colors (IMO).

But Kyushinro finds even "Natural" to be too punchy....

1. Android Pay = Google pay? No Citibank support. I have preference for Citibank cards. Citi pay is a failed app.

2. Actually lastpass has the functionality (called auto-fill through overlay) and it used to be good before iOS 12 implement it. If you used both you will know why the latter is better.

3. I tried quite a few Apps, they work but do not approach the quality of ScannerPro. ScannerPro also comes with auto-upload to cloud functionality. To get this on CamScanner (Android), you need to to pay a $6 monthly subscription.

4. As for colors, I cycled through all the settings. It stills looks overly punchy. I used iPhone for work and Pixel for personal, so the difference is apparent when I switch between the 2.

Oh yes, it's called Google Pay now. I'm still stuck in the past.

If you haven't tried out Google Drive or Office Lens for scanning docs, do try them out. Office Lens has an option to save in the cloud too (OneDrive) if I recall correctly and it's free.

What made you change from 2 XL to 3 XL?

It's my yearly guilty pleasure, getting new Nexus or Pixel devices.

While I'm happy with the 3 XL, I think the improvements does not justify the price tag.

3 XL apparently takes amazing photos, but I take photos occasionally.

The build-quality is better, yes. The display is better - I love the smaller bazel, and don't mind the giant notch. But all that for that much money? No.

If I'm being economical here I'd say hold on to 2 XL and wait for the next cycle. Hopefully more breakthrough tech will make it into the 4 - things like in-screen fingerprint scanner, foldable display, smaller notch and even smaller bazels, etc.

BTW, the bottom speaker does sound muffled...

I think for now it's probably those cui ones bah. Unless the local seller that uses the loca glue one has glass for pixel 3. If not I think the rest that's on the market is all cui one.
