2018 Google Pixel 3 and 3XL...😗🎉😵

Just got my white pixel 3 from singtel. Ordered on Wed online via CES. Happy to report that screen test looks good when background is grey.

On a blank black homescreen though there are like 3 layers of greyscale colors that appears only when i am in the home screen. It disappears when I watch youtube on all black and on any other app with black background. So i guess it is okay.

Any suggestion on a good glass protector?

Yea man exactly like this! I don't find it a disturbance yet but its definitely there!

If I scrutinise very very carefully, I can see a white line underlining the notch when on Chrome. And I only just got my phone yesterday so you can say it's there right out of the box (ie unlikely to be a burn-in).I can't see the white line when I'm on my home screen.

I wouldn't count this as a defect or inconvenience though....

Okay thanks man. I went to singtel(s) to check out all the display set and this "burn in" were present. Maybe a way for Google to protect the led portion of the notch?

Just like last year surrounding the Pixel 2 XL’s display. Google released an update that fade out the navigation buttons and reduce the screen brightness.

I believe this is a non-XL pixel. On another note, Google store page for white Pixel XL 128gb changed to a later dispatch date till 23 Nov already. . .

The call screen function is available in Singapore, albeit unofficially. There's a post a few pages back on how to activate it or can just do a search on xda developers. I have been using it for a few days already; people are usually caught unaware and not sure how to respond. Works like a charm though if they respond. This feature is the main reason I'm staying with the pixel line of phone because it fits my usage style.
