Duno whether to go for the regular pixel 3 or the XL? Can I confirm both models have dual front camera(wide lens and standard lens)?

Sent from LG G7+ ThinQ using GAGT

Both have dual front camera. The pixel 3 one is positioned at side. Whereas the pixel 3 xl one is centered where the notch is

Features are the same. Only differences are the screen size, resolution, battery, speaker a bit louder on XL (according to some videos I've seen).

The decision is quite simple to me. If you like big screen? Go XL. It's not that much more in price, can just turn off the notch if you really hate it. will look like a Pixel 3 Pixel 2 XL then. But to me it's something people will get used to. Also if you need 128GB, only the 3XL sold in SG will have that option.

If you like small phones, Pixel 3. :s13:

Corrected for u :s13:

When u turn on the hide notch option on pixel 3 xl, the phone will look exactly like the pixel 2 xl. Exact same dimensions and all.

Went to singtel to take a look at the display sets.

Screen quality definitely improved over the pixel 2 xl.

Build quality feels smooth at the rear. I read reviews saying that there were concerns that the rear glass finishings might show lines of scratches but they can be "rubbed" away and will look back to normal.

I went to try use fingernail scratch a bit. Indeed got lines. Then use finger rub a bit and its gone

For people who dislike glass rear phones due to them being fingerprint magnet, it feels google implemented this pretty well.

But i feel weird at the aluminum frame build quality.. also i think the front screen of both the pixel 3 and pixel 3 xl arent as "curved" as the pixel 2 xl. Anyone else feels the same?

Software ui wise and all feels exactly like my pixel 2 xl on pie.

Camera app ui on pixel 3 xl is different now.

Easier to switch between portrait & normal camera now with just a swipe.

well not exactly you will be rubbing keys on your phone all the time unless you are using it naked. like white and pink are prone to stains as well.

I was hoping the all white is really all white but the black frame spoils it

A few days delay..

I'm still going for the Black. Think it's a little overblown.

Also because I regretted going with Panda White for my Pixel 2 XL just cause everyone says it's the best-looking. Hahahah. Still prefer having a uniform look throughout. I always feel a black front matches a black rear better. A black front with a white rear looks kinda mis-matched to me.

Played with both the Pixel 3 and 3XL at the Singtel shop today. Both feel good and the I can accept the notch on the 3XL. Like many have commented, the new screens are indeed good. The 3 looks nicer than the 3XL in my opinion. However, comparing with my 2XL side by side, there really isn't much more hardware wise and I find it hard to justify the upgrade cost, especially off contract at Google Store prices. I will wait for prices to fall or wait another year when I am eligible for recontract.
