Just tried the Pixel 3a at Jurong Point Challenger, general performance I find seem decent, no real lag to speak of. But of course, everything is relative since my current phone is Mi A2, so comparatively speaking it is smooth to me. :s13:
Still deciding if I should get it to replace my Mi A2.

i just recontract from singtel and will be collecting the Black Pixel 3a XL this coming saturday afternoon.

As i'm already using an OG Pixel XL together with essential phone as a secondary, i am intending to sell the Black Pixel 3a XL.

Any takers for SGD700 (MSRP at Google Store is SGD779) please pm me.

Though not as popular as iPhones and Samsungs, I am starting to see Pixels more often in public. Was at A-lin's concert last Saturday and an acquaintance just switched to Pixel 3 and saw 2 Pixel users seated in front of my row (one 2xl and one 3xl). Quite surprised to see so many Pixels so randomly.

I think the problem lies with Google also. The pixel firmware only has dedicated MNC provisioning for the US/major EU/Aussie and Jap carriers, while all others fall under their "wild card" provisioning with a lot less carrier support features. I'm not even sure if 3CA is supported for sg telcos or not.

The red one I damn tl myself din get 😭
But the black ones with rubber feel, under our weather becomes sticky ...

That's the nature of soft touch plastic disintegrating into the petrochemicals it was made off

No microsd no talk. WTH is Google thinking when they priced this 3a phone? Will get slaughtered by Xiaomi and Honor etc. Galaxy A50 is substantially cheaper and has similar specs. Galaxy S9 can be found around same price

My rant on the pixel 3a and why it probably will not sell as well as Google intended. Maybe it will do well in US where they make it hard for Chinese OEMs to sell here, but elsewhere esp. Asia, it will fall prey to Xiaomi Huawei and oneplus and maybe even samsung

tested the demo set in challenger earlier... seems quite snappy when scrolling through the pages.. just abit slutter/notice slower when accessing the option menu.. didn't really notice the longer processing when taking snaps off the camera.

yeah, probably. they were saying about google and singtel(or other telco) need to handshake before this feature will work

Well, they are entering their third year of officially selling the pixel line through local telcos so it's really about time to consider better carrier support in their firmwares, at least for the telcos in the markets they're officially selling in.

How is it "technically" a 3g phone? I dont get it.

Volte from what i know only means even during voice calling the 4g network is maintained. Meaning to say 4g lte still works on pixel, except during calls it will switch to 3g band. After calling then back to 4g lte band isnt it?

That time one bro here shared his experience, cant remember is singpass or cpf. They even asked him his pixel is what phone? Is it android? Or old android. Something along this line. :s13:
