I don't think I'll do that. But nice to know it does turn off when face down.

Yes, battery is not very ideal for this. Hopefully Google will come up with a software fix for this..

I'm not that lucky after all. I did some more tests and noticed that my panel has an uneven tint too. It's not nearly as bad as your first unit, and one would really have to look a bit for it, but it's definitely there, - reddish at the bottom and greenish at the top. Most noticeable on grey backgrounds on low brightness.
I'm thinking of trying my luck with the exchange, but also concerned that the exchanged unit will be even worse.

Oh man. sorry to hear that. it depends if it's something that you think will affect your usage? For me I use with low brightness very frequently, and some the apps I use with grey/dark backgrounds + Night light makes uneven tint very obvious, so for me i'll probably try my luck.
BUT... another thing is that you have to deal with the staff at the shop, which may not even notice the tint. Some people are just less sensitive to colours.

I think for normal day to day usage I probably wouldn't notice, but my OCD's kicking in lol especially when I tried the grey backgrounds from the Display Tester app and that grey wallpaper you posted.
I think the bigger question will be - will the staff allow you the choice of keeping the original unit IF the replacement unit's display turns out to be worse? If not, it's probably too big of a risk to take.

No idea man. Best thing is to book an appt at singtelshop and ask lor. I mean if they don't let you keep original unit, just say the new unit looks worse, so is defective also. Means should be able to open another set. Cannot be they force you to accept a defective product.

I can't really see the uneven tint. This may be dismissed as falling within the acceptable (and normal) variance.I think for normal day to day usage I probably wouldn't notice, but my OCD's kicking in lol especially when I tried the grey backgrounds from the Display Tester app and that grey wallpaper you posted.

Hahah my unit is 3XL 128 so maybe it's an unfair comparison but I still haven't got my phone so I can't provide you with much informationMIC issue? U mean when taking video one?
I have issue with the volume of notification/ring/alarm, do you have that? It's kinda soft for me, youtube/fb videos are ok though.
yeah, I know that new phone need to wait a few days to adjust. So while adjusting, should I leave AD on to try out? Or it doesn't matter during the adjustment?

But then again, it may be more obvious in real life. Anyway, good luck to you still!
How come im being charged $1592.37 instead of $1549 from Google store? GST? Any one bought from Google store sg can confirmed? I'm using debit card.

Ya I just emailed them.I just posted the same issue on my 64GB unit but only SGD13 more.
Use the SMS sent to you when you order the phone and the Tax Invoice from Store Ordering history as proof of this. I think Google Store has hidden cost, sine this is SGD to SGD deal..there should not have discrepancy .
