Thanks! ... not sure how to describe...its like i don't want any tint from testing but i keep seeing up and down..squinting like pysch myself to see something pop from top or bottom of screen... but i guess my screen is fine... phew...

Haha I definitely get what you mean. You want to be 101% sure so you are just combing the whole screen to the point where you might be seeing things that are not there aka slight paranoia lol. Is yours a regular Pixel 3 or the XL? Don't worry, if you can't see anything, you've got a good display.

For my first set, even though I had to look a bit longer, I could definitely see a significantly shift in colour even when viewed dead on center. There was also a definite pink tint when I viewed the screen at an angle from the left. Weirdly enough, this pink tint wasn't there when viewed from the other sides of the display.

To those that too paranoid on defects till open many sets to check for uneven colors.
My advise is don't be paranoid, enjoy your new phone . Just do naked eye check instead of purposely downloading apps to do the check.

need expert help

previously i been using LG V20 and have just switch to Pixel 3xl as my contract is up.

for LG V20, i was able to double tap on the phone screen when i off the screen, but it's seem now the only option is to press the power button to off the screen.

anyway to set it that when i double tap on my screen, it can off the screen?
(i don't mean about power on or off, just off to the notification black screen)

I know what you mean. Lg and asus phones have this feature built in. The default pixel launcher doesnt provide this.

I liked the double tap on home screen to lock/sleep phone and wake on my asus zenfone 2. Because in some sense it will mean less wear & tear on the power button.

Anyone can recommend a place to buy genuine Spigen cases either the slim armour or tough armour at a good price?

Last time i bought my spigen slim case for pixel 2 xl from one of the stores at Burlington square. Its just along the place where the burger king is. Cant be sure that things havent changed since then.

I am regular Google phone user since Nexus one and collection of all (still in possession) but pixel one.
Using the phone pixel 3XL since 4Nov, find incremental refinement over pixel 2XL.
1.Performance is faster.
2. Used to turn off Google assistance but now find it much smarter, voice recognition is better.
3. Loud speaker is definitely sounds better with deeper bass as if playback from stereo than from a phone , less hollow sound .

4.camera capture is faster, yet to test night sight .

5. Screen display is warmer than pixel 2XL or typical Samsung display.

What I don't like
1. Glass back is slippery, prefer pixel2xl gripping
2.extra weight due to wireless charging.

I have many USB type C adapters (65W, multi profiles) available for use that I can charge notebooks to phones and tablets. Don't really need wireless charging .

I got the regular pixel3 as my previous hp was note8 which i felt its too big...before that was S7 (size which felt just nice).. the notch was a factor too...wasn't sure if i will mind in the long run so just went ahead to purchase my first Google phone Pixel3

Which cable you use to charge from notebook to pixel 3?
My cable unable to maintain charge.

This pixel 3 battery life really disappointing.

i know about this, this is to double tap to on the screen only. LG has the function to double tap and lock the screen instead of using the power button which is more troublesome
