Are you guys using Adaptive Battery on or off? Read somewhere that it causes battery issues before if it's on, but not sure if it was already fixed by Dec update.

My average sot on my pixel 3 xl is 5+ hrs. And my usage is not that heavy, except my location and Bluetooth is always on (for smartwatch). Adaptive brightness is on, aod is off, and uses dark mode.

Kinda not impressed with battery so far.

I turn it off.

Because I dont want google's machine learning to determine which apps notifications I should receive them delayed simply base on my usage behaviour on those apps.

What do you mean by battery issues anyway.

Some posts in reddit are reporting bad battery life on android pie. They say can be fixed by turning off adaptive battery. But those posts are last Oct or Nov. So I'm wondering if December patch already fixed that. Or if someone already tested the difference between on and off now.

Now, I'm using Adaptive battery on and getting 5+ hrs which is I'm not impressed given that I'm using 3 XL. I saw some people ave. 7+ sot. Will try to turn it off also and see these coming days. Hope will get at least additional 1 more hour.

Do you have the extra loca? Get a small pin and dip in the glue, try to put a little glue on that bubble. Maybe you can still fill those gaps.

Hello members of Team Pixel,

Would just like your input. Received my Pixel 3 128GB from Starhub 3 days ago. But my battery life is simply put - horrendous. I'm getting standby drain of about 5%/h, on just idle (adaptive battery off, adaptive brightness off). So with me doing nothing at all on the phone (still on my Xiaomi 4x), it goes from 100% to 0% in 18~ish hours.

Did the following
- Full charge and drain to 0% twice
- Factory reset once
- Phone usage none (just standby, screen time less than 6%)

Is it possible that I received a defective product? Thinking of heading down to the service center for a replacement. Do advise!

Currently trying to use the phone with haptic feedback. Not bad sia. First time using phone with haptic turned on, hopefully won't suck battery like mad haha

I used it in the beginning lol but it started to get annoying and I turned it off. It probably is better than before but definitely not on the level of iPhone that's for sure haha

should I use tempered glass or stick with the pre install screen protector?

Don't anyhow confuse people please. Since when there is a pre installed screen protector. There's only the plastic wrap that is wrapping the phone that's all.

Can. U will need solvents completely to remove glue from the glass, else it requires a lot of elbow grease... The back of the glass scratches easily though..

I turn it off simply because I read somewhere that Adaptive Battery will delay notifications on certain apps that they determine as infrequently used by the user. There are some apps I seldom use but I would still like to receive notifications asap if not instantly.

haptics will not affect battery life.. usually will need a couple or days or a week to settle for a more stable SOT

Try using it for about a week and see if any improvements?
