seems like 17 PM XM battery is about the same as regular pro lol..even tho 1200 mah more...
That rear screen can off de ... Don't need to aod or on all the time... Unless u wanna on it for aesthetic purposes..Xm never had good battery management imo. Moreover now, with a new tiny screen behind
Of course must aod on at least, if not just buy the normal xm 17 sua..That rear screen can off de ... Don't need to aod or on all the time... Unless u wanna on it for aesthetic purposes..
Back screen don't support normal social media apps yet ..only china stuff.. hopefully they update to include more third party ... The rear camera is super good to take group selfies and v logging vids ..Of course must aod on at least, if not just buy the normal xm 17 sua..
You bought directly in China, right? If not, any recommendations/warnings from such as Shopee or similar?Back screen don't support normal social media apps yet ..only china stuff.. hopefully they update to include more third party ... In general having owned nexus, pixels ..camera wise, no horse run. XM way ahead for main cameras (selfies sux).Been using Pixel phones and now looking to upgrade to a new phone.
My main consideration for a phone is can take good photos, good battery life and compact.
Was initially considering Pixel 10 Pro. But just think it's not worth paying so much for their mediocre hardware and average battery life.
Thus now am seriously considering XM 17 when it launched in SG (as I prefer sim + esim model).
Any XM users can share more on their real life experience on XM's (especially XM 17 series) usability in terms of camera, battery life and OS (like in comparison with Pixel 10 pro)?
Thanks.
Thanks. In general having owned nexus, pixels ..camera wise, no horse run. XM way ahead for main cameras (selfies sux).
U will miss the raw clean android experi nce of Pixels.
Your homework probably is those few years ago de liao .. pixel doesn't excel much in lowlight anymore .. relying too much on AI processing but not much upgrades in sensors over the years...Thanks.
I have been doing homework on it too. It seems that XM still doesn't do shots as good as Pixel in low light situation. True bo?
Thanks.

XM low light is superb. Esp from XM13 onwards all solid bom bibi for the main cam. Ultrawide ... I skip.
Basically, everytime in a low light situation..if with friends..they will say..eh..use XM phone for the food/group pic. Only issue is any red light is a big challenge![]()
Sounds good.Your homework probably is those few years ago de liao .. pixel doesn't excel much in lowlight anymore .. relying too much on AI processing but not much upgrades in sensors over the years...
Warning: If u shoot Ultra RAW or 4K/8K video..say bye bye to battery....the power drain sucks faster than a Dyson vacuum. Too much data to process from the sensors.Sounds good.
So I reckon you both will recommend XM 17 over Pixel 10 Pro in terms of camera, battery life and os?
That's good info coming from a real user's perspective.Warning: If u shoot Ultra RAW or 4K/8K video..say bye bye to battery....the power drain sucks faster than a Dyson vacuum. Too much data to process from the sensors.
If I know I am gonna do alot of shooting say on a trip..I would.bring a power bank along for sure.
OS wise..most ppl will tell u HyperOS sux...I need it for dual apps. I like how my kiddo's pixel 9A runs...but no dual apps is no go for me...I don't wanna carry two phones.
So it's a balance u must be ok with.
As @chari-men said.. pixel is slow and old hardware. My 15U can render insta360 videos so quickly I tot i have a xeon server farm.

I will await on the actual specs of the XM 17 global version before pulling the trigger.
Then in for a good wait liao with how Xiaomi releases their global products, but at least better than some that is late to the party....No global rom????
....but will they release? The big US market has effectively closed to most China products making money now. Then in for a good wait liao with how Xiaomi releases their global products, but at least better than some that is late to the party....
Just fyi when I tested the regular Xiaomi 17 there's not many shooting modes and limited resolutions and fps for videos.. Xiaomi ultra series are known for their cams so go for that if photography is ur priority.. for pro/pro max not too bad can take pretty decent good pics.. ultra wide lens a bit cmi with the narrow view and sensor..That's good info coming from a real user's perspective.
