1) Low end and top end laptop: Windows versus macOS (Apple MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro) at US$600 and US$4500 respectively.



2) Something in the middle, HP Panther Lake Laptop versus Apple MacBook Air M5 at around US$1200 range

In the end, it probably depends on your needs.

The two main Windows laptop we have are Acer Swift Go 14 2024 model (S$1187 in July 2024 and S$1060 in Oct 2024), Core Ultra 5 125H CPU, 16GB/1TB, with USB4/TB4 and WiFi 7. At that time I feel no comparable Apple laptop with similar features at similar price range.

Then I got Mac Mini M1 in 2020 and MacBook Neo in 2026, as I feel no similar Windows machine at the similar price range and similar features. I needed the Mac Mini M1 at the time since the older Mac Mini 2011 died in 2019. As for MacBook Neo, I do not exactly need it but I feel it is a good buy.

MacBook Neo sales are good that Apple may have to bring in the next iteration earlier (probably with A19 Pro CPU, the leftovers from the iPhone 17 Pro family).

Macbook Neo 2 with 12GB RAM is more realistic and usable. Faster (2X) SSD speed as well.
