Dun have to use all the features but it is available to those who wants to.
That is a good point.

Apple is slower in adopting the latest wireless technology. I guess they r working hard on their own chip to replace Qualcomm chips.Apple has not updated the following Apple Device Wi-Fi Spec page for the newly announced product.
https://support.apple.com/en-sg/guide/deployment/dep268652e6c/web
Take note that the Apple N1 Wireless Networking Chip does not support 320 MHz channel bandwidth on the 6GHz band. So in this aspect, Apple is still lagging behind. That being said, it is a right direction for Apple to adopt Wi-Fi 7 for new product.
As for MacBook Neo, at least it supports Wi-Fi 6E. That is quite okay for a low cost product.

For videos, I upload them to YouTube instead of Google Photos, where there is no storage limit.2TB with Gemini pro . Hmmm my first hand experience would be yes the space is useful . And emails can keep coming in now . Everything works as per usual . But the biggest gain would be the Gemini pro features. I basically set my Gemini pro on “Pro” for all inquiries . Takes awhile but I felt that its consideration is better than “fast” which throw’s answers that’s all
I will test 6GHz WiFi later using TP-Link Archer BE805 router.
5GHz band and 6GHz band performance of MacBook Neo are very good when at close distance with TP-Link Archer BE805.
Singtel 5Gbps plan

3m distance between MacBook Neo to the router

My Google drive 15gb free space exploded during my trip to china. No emails can come in or exit . No choice have to think quick . Yes I’m using Apple iPhone 17 pro max but I don’t want to be stuck with iCloud when most of my stuff are on Google (previously I was using android devices). End up paid for the Google AI Pro Plan

I think it’s alright . For a year , you get the full suite of all their services , its value for money . Sad thing is YouTube premium not included
Your throughput is impressive. My MBA M5 on M1 6gbps/BE805 only does 1.2Gbps on average, and peak 1.8Gbps.The results are pretty good with Archer BE805 at 3m distance, on both 5GHz and 6GHz band. I consider the results on the 5GHz band very very good already.
Need to check why the speed was much slower with Asus TUF-BE6500 (dual band WiFi 7 router, no 6GHz band) on the 5GHz band.
I’m using Gemini , and will be exploring stitch this weekOh yes if you use the AI features.
The normal Google One Premium 2TB plan is already at S$140 per year.
The added AI features at S$290 per year will be worth the extra S$150 per year.
