it also depends on what you are 3d printing
artistic piece or engineering component.
either direction takes you down different pathways

Can go see carousell. Dont need to get specific brand. Look for the kinematics type that suit your printing needs. As 3d printer can be easily upgraded. IF you want to build your own 3d printer also can. I can help you 3d print those joints and stuffs

Unless you getting those super big name brands like ultimaker and makerbot, then upgrade path is pretty limited, as their firmware is not opensource/parts are harder to swap out.

I bought mine from AliExpress. Creality has an official store there. The packaging was great and the order arrived in about 2 weeks. The customer service on the store is also pretty good.

Overall a great experience, plus AliExpress is pretty draconian with its sellers, so as long as you keep buyer protection going, if you ever have any issue with your order, they'll be quick to rectify the situation.

I would recommend against TaoBao, given AliExpress is a good option. Not sure about the price difference - if it is significant, then give TaoBao a go.

Got a Ender 3 V2 a couple of weeks ago. Bought a 'month' old printer from a guy. Seller claimed to have some adhesion issues that he didn't have time to troubleshoot.
Printer was quite dusty. Did a cleaning and re-adjusting of the frame to check for squareness.

So far ok. Managed to solve the adhesion issue with glue stick. Waiting on replacement bed springs.

Anyone using auto levelling? Worth investing in a creality or BL touch? Or just level the damn bed with feeler gauges and save some money?

hwz is for people in edmw to scold each other anonymously.
you really don't want to meet up with them do you? who knows who is the clone of who etc.

just started my 3D printer journey in Mar, a pretty steep learning curve to get everything set up properly (installation, alignment, bed leveling, z-offset, e-steps calibration).

Definitely lots of tinkering required and numerous YT tutorial watching/guide reading.

Breakdown of Cost
- S$222 for Ender 3 V2 (Lazada after all vouchers/promo)
- S$42 for CR Touch & Filament Sensor (Aliexpress)
- S$22 for Double-sided magnetic PEI spring sheet (Aliexpress)

DIY upgrade your 3D printer with webcam for remote monitoring, AI failure detection using Obico plugin, and a 4" inch Hyperpixel touchscreen and a RasPi4B as a OctoPrint server.

Advantage:
  • No need to transfer your 3D G-code files using SD/TF card during every print. Just configure the printer over the network to link up with your slicer software.
  • 3D printing failure detection using AI with Obico plugin
  • Remote monitoring and control using mobile apps or WebGUI
  • With the upgraded touchscreen interface, easily jump to the setting using custom hotkeys (Eg. pre-heating and cooling)
  • Shoot time-lapse video for your 3D print

haha can see the hobby dying down, i comparing to buy anycubic kobra 3 combo, also shortlist ELEGOO neptune S4 plus, for Kobra 3 can do mulit color and S4 Plus is cheaper and can print up to 385 vs korba 260.
which do you think its better?

I need this to print my company door gift like coaster, thumb drive and stuff, for home use, my wife planting parts, fish tank parts and my peg board accessories hopefully can do some small biz in future.
