Is Kioxia a good brand for SSD? Am considering between the KIOXIA EXCERIA M.2 NVMe 1TB or the WD SN570.

This is why I use Samsung, but please don't buy just Samsung.. later price increase .. please support other brands as well. Anyway, these failure rates are nothing compared to the ones I aware of

Anyone know if the Storage Executive data is reliable example for my crucial MX300 above?

9k hours still have 99% life time as gaming drive?

This is crucial software is from crucial ( micron ) to read the SMART SSD. If you feel not right or something why not email them to ask ?

For Momentum Cache , will use your ram . if you want faster then use it , other than that for me I just leave as it is .

Its pro and cons

I think it calculated by how much you written against the TBW... not the amount of hours you used.

You can ownself count also.

Anyway, this drive is dam good.. it was my main SSD for so many years until I kicked it out with 2 Samsung nvme last year .


In 2016, lazada got this discounted. ~$150 for 750GB. It was an S-tier promotion, I faster hoot 2 and flip 1.

I use the software for firmware update after 4 years of usage.

normally i only read the ssd SMART from HWiNFO which is more meaningful to me.

I have tried this momontum cache and think it is not suitable for me as i prefer to allocate the ram usage to my game which could be more than 13GB nowadays depends on title.

this momentum cache just take up the ram allocation without any improvement after some testing.

I feel that the image is very misleading as they are showing Samsung and Seagate SSD but WD HDD.

it was based on their own experience as system integrator and simply they do not have lots of exposure to many other SSD or HDD available at their testing pleasure.

The SSD controller chip is basically 3 to 4 types only need not to say the storage chip. Rest is how the marker implement it.

I've worked in different CE corps as an analyst for RMA and I don't have confidence in their products as well.

Usually, the CMI ones when placed inside high spec-ed laptops get even more prone to failure. This is where the truly durable SSDs distinguish themselves from the rest.

The SSD controller chip is basically 3 to 4 types only need not to say the storage chip. Rest is how the marker implement it.
