Is 3.25% guaranteed?
No it's not. It's the same percentage gauge for all local insurance plans offered.

Buy ntuc revoease with 40K. 3 years premium , 10 years maturity. End of 10 years get back $53,064 @ 4.75% or $47,212 @ 3.25%
I suggest that you dump that 40k inside SSB first and not hand it over to some insurance salesperson*. Then go read up on insurance and investing to get a clue about this nasty piece of business. The last thing anyone should be doing with their money is to hand it over to the first bank employee or insurance salesperson you meet and have no clue about what they are selling to you**.
* being politically correct here on gender.
** Hint: it is not always to your benefit, despite what they say.

oh non guaranteed...so all this figures are just...
it can even be just 1 percent or even nothing except capital guaranteed?
might as well SSB or those higher yield savings plan like maxigain, dbs multiplier, etc etc
i actually handed over a large sum of money to an unknown GE insurance agent but that was for the GREAT270 endownment plan where the capital is guaranteed and interest of 2.7percent is also guaranteed. the agent also offered me capitaland vouchers too.
it all depends on the product hehe..
but yea i will not put money for ILPs and those non guaranteed endowments because those are just paying the pockets for these agents.
40k is a small amount. just put into a savings account that have higher interest? or SSB.
Like wat kind of investmentSo actually what is your intention with this money? Retirement? Since you are in your mid 30s with a house fully paid. I would recommend you looking into doing an investment for a long term which gains a higher yield instead of getting a low guarantees. Unless you are more on the conservative/ safe risk type then by all means, put in a guaranteed savings/ bank that gives a dividend.
I thinking of doing 7-11 franchise. Feasible boh
