prism+ 55" at $679 good price or have other recommendations?

I take Xiaomi or TCL over prism anyway. Prism price is almost as high as TCL now, at least TCL make their own panels and not ODM, while xiaomi is the cheapest.

Looking for recommendation for reliable TVs, with decent picture quality. Do not care for bells and whistles.

Only usage will be 95% YouTube maybe 5% Netflix.

I normally buy online, especially now got Black Friday deals; but think even better prices can be obtained from the physical shops. If you got the time, go visit several shops and get the best price.

Thanks for the reply. Now the Black friday on lazada is worse. $731 no voucher no laxada bonus can be used. Shopee better at $681

Definitely an even better TV than those I've suggested earlier. That said, I prefer Sony's image processing more, so I'll choose the X90L over the C845. But that's me. Also, TCL warranty support will not be as good as Sony's.

Anyway, see what this highly-regarded reviewer says about the C845 and then make your decision.

What's your recommendation if I go <= $1000? 65" ? CU7000 any good? My house has a Samsung AU7000K and it is pretty much good enough.

CU7000 looks pretty similar to the AU7000, so since the later is good enough, so will the former.



For 65" < $1K, I think there are other options with better visuals than the CU7000.

TCL P735 (looks better in dark room coz VA panel) and Hisense A6K (if my guess is right, the IPS panel may look better in the day time). VA panel has better contrast while IPA panel colors look more vibrant. Both are brighter & more colorful than the CU7000/AU7000.

Another two options that'll also look better than the Samsungs: Xiaomi Q2 and PRISM+ Q65-QE. Sure, they may be QLED panels, but the two Chinese TVs above have wide color gamut as well; and I have more confidence in the image processing prowess of the two bigger TV brands above.

I may be wrong coz I've only ever seen the TU7000 in person (& while it looks sharp, the PQ looks bland), and the rest are based on specs & reviews I've seen on the web. Best if you visit the shops to see them TVs in person to decide for yourself.

I have more faith in TCL image processing, so C645. No idea about app installation though.

For dramas/movies, I'd go for Sony X90L or even X95L, if I don't already have the $$$ for the A95L.
