these flights always seem to be go late come back early. not sure if saving on flight and incurring an additional night's hotel stay is worth.

Really depends normally flying cheap and incurring another room night is more expensive unless your hotel is cheap. Pros and cons depend on hoe you look at it.

Scoot always delayed or rescheduled flight one ...
if i choose scoot, i would worry about that ...
jetstar normally no such issue, have encountered their delay at most is 2 hours

few times flew with scoot, their rescheduled is more than 4 hours ...
Scoot land dmk airport, prefer to land at international airport instead ...

yup, happened many times before for scoot ...
hence would try not to fly with scoot , unless the price is super attractive
like once there was 0 fare promo to bkk by scoot, biz + econ for $ 113 sgd only.

thai airways not bad, can fly back on sun, pricing around 218sgd onwards
sq cheapest so far is 238 on avereage, they have had a 198promo earlier on this year ...

cathay have had at least 2 times 178sgd promo ...
their timing only have one. not many ppl would think is a good timing ...

Sq promo fare, lowest fare always not so good timing
for example, 4pm or 5pm depart
then the return flight is 9+am or 12+ noon depart from bkk ...

other timing need to top up more per way ...

I will only have this thought when flying to hong kong ...
cox on average jetstar to hk is about 120 to 150sgd
cathay normally good promo is about 238sgd
for that 80sgd more, i can have meals, personal entertainment, 30kg luggage

however for bangkok case, jetstar always promo 70+sgd
sq is 238sgd which is way too expensive ...
