Hey guys, are we allowed to bring multivitamin supplement to BMT?

Some companies say cannot, so really depends on ur company. But if you want, just bring it and see what they say. At most try to reason that its your necessary 'medication'. Usually quite safe.

Nope. Upon reaching tekong, u will be seperated.

They will go for a tour of the bunks n facilities, while u will go to settle admin matters.

After which you n them will meet again at the auditorium, though seperately seated.

Then ur family n u will have lunch at the cookhouse, after that u assemble at the area stated while they watch from the cookhouse.

Botak part usually comes after, prepare $2 for haircut.

Bag check all these should be after ur family n friends leave. Dont worry, anything duno just ask, no horror stories of getting tekan or screamed at. :s13:

Dun carry too heAvy bag as u need to carry yr bag + the field pack home on ur book out. Try not to wear "big" shoes(eg doc mart/redwing/boots) while u enlist, cos u need stuff inside bag and bring out when u book out.

Photocopy ur pink ic before enlistment. The info may be useful.

My advice to you is dont bring too many things inside. Normally first day after your parents wave goodbye, you will proceed to either put ur civi bag or go straight to collect ur fieldpack and duffel bag. And prepare to perspire.

After that, they will call u change to no.4 i think. den teach you how to tie combat boots, your id tag (got pattern to tie one hor, mai siao siao).

You better hope your bunk is in 2nd or 3rd floor, that time I kena 5th floor. Your barang barang is enough to shag u out liao.

Although I dont smoke, but my friends were given smoke break(s) but not much. You want smoke, you give standard. Normally need to ask permission from PC.

For your meals, normally need queue up to tap your card. Need to report strength to the Company Orderly Sergeant (COS). Cannot anyhow move, want scratch your nose or whatever, remember ask for permission. Basically, anything just ask. Dont know just ask. Know but dont know can do or not also ask. Just ask ask ask.

For your boots, try to stick to one pair, if nt IF you got route march (idk abt modified bmt, im in the PTP batch), you get tons of blisters. Last month I went ICT, buy new boots, went route march SBO only, i got 6 blisters liao. Somemore my toe de skin is those season with blisters from BMT one.

Remember to air your ILBV and helmet whenever possible, if not get ready to see fungus, got green, got white, got grey.

Btw I enlisted in 2010, so i have no idea what is the standard now though.

And btw, Tekong is not as bad as you think. I was in BMTC sch 4, it was quite quite there, only 3 companies at that time. The real thing starts when you are in an unit. If you kena clerk then good for you. If combat, then just enjoy it, get tired with your friends, sleep together(all guys) for 5 nights per week. 2 years say long not long, say short not short.

Got vending machine BUT can use or not is another matter =)
Drink more plain water there (I mean tap water).
Got injections there also. 2 on arms, 1 on butt.
Normally will have something call "Tekong cough", happens to recruits.

Dont carry heavy bag is because when you book out, you confirm have alot things to bring home to wash. You need pack your fieldpack items also.

unless now changes...

my time last time was ...each small area not clean equal to 20x push-ups... same standards following with weapon... so people always want to avoid being section IC...
