I don’t know where this bus stop is and it’s road orientation but sometimes depending on the time of the day, the sun will shine into the bus stop and the shadow will be behind it

So if you want to be shaded, you stand where the shadow is, which could be behind the bus stop. So maybe that what the ah pek is doing.

Of cos this means the shadow can be to the left or to the right also. So people can stand there

And obviously it can be on the front of the bus stop also so if he stands there, it won’t be a cyclist hitting him but the bus

No they don't. Cyclists cycle through the front of the bus stops and ring bell incessantly to get everyone to make way for them. I look both ways before getting off the bus now because almost got buang a few times by cyclists when getting off.

As a smart nation we should use AI powered CCTV to identify cyclists like how China identify criminals at concerts. After identifying the errant cyclists can send LTA officer after their office hours to go to the cyclist’s house to arrest them.
