There are many guys whose name is Robert or Roberto who believes in sob and sad stories.
These guys are willing to spend 80% of their salary on these gals but unwilling to spend 8% on their parents.

The local unit will provide their investigation result to the parents if it is allowed.
No point guessing what the gal was doing here.

Why would someone come to a foreign land to suicide?

There are more than meets the eye.

First of all, what was she doing in Singapore? On social pass or EP/WP? Was she working in Singapore or as a tourist? The news did not state anything.

Lost all the money in the Casino resulted her to suicide is unlikely a cause. MBS has all the CCTVs. Who was the last person with her? How many days have she checked in to the hotel? There are so many unknown which the news did not state. The news just stated that she hanged herself.

A 34-year-old Chinese woman was found dead in her hotel room at Marina Bay Sands. Her parents, who hadn't been in contact with her for years, rushed to Singapore to handle her funeral arrangements and were devastated upon seeing her remains. They also hope to find her friends to learn more.

Zhang Qiujie, a 34-year-old woman from Jiangsu, China, was found dead at Marina Bay Sands on December 20, 2025. The death certificate states that Zhang Qiujie died at 3:13 PM, and the cause of death was hanging.

Zheng Haichuan, a well-known local funeral service provider, told 8world News that Zhang Qiujie's parents were farmers and not wealthy. Police contacted the parents through the embassy, and they arrived in Singapore on December 29 to seek Zheng Haichuan's assistance.

“They hoped I could help them. They said their daughter was kind-hearted and had donated money during the Wenchuan earthquake. Hearing this, I felt sorry for them. My daughter was a kind person, so I'm helping them with their daughter's funeral arrangements free of charge.”

According to Zheng Haichuan, Zhang Qiujie and her parents hadn't been in contact for about one to two years. They were shocked by their daughter's death and had many questions.

“They don't know how long their daughter had been in Singapore or why she died. Her father said it's impossible for her to die like this; she must have had friends in Singapore who knew her. Because her phone was password protected, they can't access it and hope to find her through news reports. If anyone knows Zhang Qiujie, please contact me, and I will then pass the message on to her parents via WeChat.”

The Singapore Civil Defence Force responded to inquiries, stating that they received a call for help from 1 Bayfront Avenue at approximately 3 pm on December 20, 2025, reporting a person pronounced dead at the scene. 1 Bayfront Avenue is also the address of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.

Police stated that preliminary investigations indicate the case does not involve homicide, and the investigation is ongoing.

Zheng Haichuan said that Zhang Qiujie had two younger siblings in their teens and twenties. Due to the suddenness of the incident and the family's lack of funds, they did not accompany their parents to Singapore to handle their sister's funeral arrangements.

Furthermore, due to their family circumstances, the parents did not take Zhang Qiujie's ashes back to China, but entrusted Zheng Haichuan to arrange their placement.

"I currently plan to bury her in Mandai. If I'm going to do it, I'll do it properly for her. In the future, her younger siblings can visit their sister when they have the opportunity to come to Singapore."

Zhang Qiujie's body was cremated on Thursday (1st), and her parents returned to China the following day.

One thing i don't understand is. Why they not seek help from prc embassy to help send back the daughter body or ashes.

After cremation liao can send back the ashes also right?
