Lmao, they got whacked hard at original outlet which say free upgrade of add noodles if want to.

Then when people attracted and go buy, the customers are told buy normal $5 version cannot upgrade, need buy $6/$7 version then have "Free" upgrade.

Such hawkers play this type of tactics, i will not support especially now it is a branched concept so surely branch standard not as good as original hawker

Forgive the lousy photo.... Bcm pricing is at 5/6/7... Ordered the $6

Noodles really quite al dente, doesn't feel mushy. Liver was cooked to near perfection, considering I hate liver (perfection will still always be mui siong). Meatball/fishball don't feel factory made but not the star of the bowl I suppose.

Seasoning wise, chilli is fairly spicy, more so than the average bcm and vinegar is a bit on the light side, barely noticeable... So might need to tweak for preference. Lard pieces comes from soaking in the oil so don't expect them to be fresh and crispy but at least doesn't have the old oxidized oil taste.

All in all is quite a good bowl of bcm, won't mind coming back every now and then... But personally will really need to add a lot more vinegar... Will rather eat this than the nearby Lai heng which is always super long q

My usual place in TPY is actually this

https://www.facebook.com/p/Cai-Ji-Fishball-Noodles-100089073223377/

Nothing screams out for this bcm.... but it's just a very well balanced and well done bowl of bcm...

The chilli not too spicy... right touch of vinegar... got tee po... got a few wanton... prawns... meat balls are handmade and not overly dense, not too oily.

It's like some bcm you eat once in a while cuz the flavors/oil overwhelms you, much as you may enjoy it... this one I don't mind eating every day.

Edit: Oh yeah... no liver here though... :s13:
