Doubt it. TjMax for all these CPUs are 100 degrees.
It is high voltage and spikes that kills/degrades the CPU not high temps.
Besides, these high temps are only on AVX stress testing. During gaming, it does not cross 65 degrees. Unless you are day in day out stress testing and running the CPU at very high voltage and high LLC's, there is nothing to worry. If anything, your PSU and Board will give way first before the CPU.

The 8C is actually spec'd at 193A IccMax. Of course the datasheet assumes full vdroop (absence of llc).
With the datasheet operating ranges (and mb vendor recommendation) you can have a good risk assessment for OC. But with the datasheet numbers there's a good chance you can turn it into a 200W TDP CPU while maintaining long term reliability (also well within Raja@asus recommendation).

It's still overall a good measure to set your own custom long & short duration power limits/tdp to suit your rig's cooling capability within the oc tdp guideline rather than leaving it at the 4killowatts max (aka unlimited) you can set within this platform's inbuilt safety limiters.

Gigabyte boards are very good and reliable but for overclocking prowess and advancement, you can't beat Asus. Even their bios layout is far neater. Like I mentioned I only got Gigabyte again cause I had superb experience with my 6700K and Z170 from Gigabyte. I only sold it off this year since 2015 and it was very overclocked on that one.

Personally I moved from the Asus M8I to Gaming-ITX/ac before the large cost cutting on hardware came.
No regrets at all, after what they did to the ITX line refreshes (only pro gaming aka strix).
From true 6+2 phase IR3553s + 10K Nichicon caps -> Strix z270i/Z370i 6+2 inefficient and budget 6+2 onsemi + 5K Apaq taiwanese caps -> currently Z390I 3+2 phase fake double using budget onsemi + 5k apaq.

Far better boot times, 60A intersil sps. Haven't seen idle time instability (certain uefi revisions on M8I I've seen that..) as well even quite heavily overclocked and I don't off my PC. Don't regret making the switch at all.
