: Anyone have purchase before Abercrombie Apparel at their official website before? wanting to buy some clothes for CNY. but the one thing I wondering is how long does it took for the shipping? It's not stated there.

sg.abercrombie.com

: Automatically they linked me to the sg site. so means they delivering the goods from SG? or US? if shipping from US, I afraid it may not arrive in time. :s11: :s11:

Goods delivered from SG if buying from sg site. Not US. You can't access the the US site unless via a proxy.

I do not know if cheaper but i doubt it. If so, then people will just go to the shop to try and then buy online. No matter how dark, i rather be able to try the size, feel the material etc than to buy based on internet picture, if i have a choice.

i can't vouch for every single merchandize but mostly they are the same prices. the only diff is that there are a few designs/colors that they sold exclusively online (so they claimed).

i don't think many ppl here can answer your qtn with regards to delivery because mostly ppl buy direct from the store, unless of cause we don't have one here in sg.

if u so insist, u may check the prices/designs that you like from their website. Go to the store and try out their sizes, return home and buy them online lor. kinda leceh if u ask me.

as u may know, A&F is not cheap even after discount (is not luxury either lar). and ppl usually pick them for their muscle/tight fit cutting. so sizing is very important. obviously, u won't want to get a polo/shirt which is too baggy that makes u looked like an uncle/auntie. or so tight ... maciam like a walking dumpling.

they don't have XS sizes for their shirts?
I tried the S size muscle fit shirt and it is still rather big for me...

I'm working for AF Singapore since opening so I can roughly tell you that:

Shipping would possibly be from US/HK. I don't think we keep excess stocks here as most of the older stocks would have been returned back to US/HK.

As of delivery time, I've ordered plenty from Hollister Co. itself (I used to do quite alot of HCo MO can check my threads), usually clothes take maximum 14 days to come. I've gotten my packages as fast as about 5 days. Since they're all managed by the same parent company, I would say if you order soon, your items should come a few days before CNY.

Disclaimer: I can't confirm you will get it by CNY but I'm saying high chance you would.

Cheers :o :o

Can u share the benefits of buying online rather than from the sg store directly? Cheaper? Exclusive designs?

Personal experience from purchasing from US Abercrombie and Hollister store online. You can get into Hollister US online store without having to use vpn or proxy.

Purchased 6 items from Abercrombie for about USD100 plus (excluding USD50 shipping fee). Ordered on 31 December 2013 and was shipped on 31 December 2013 (US Time) arrived on 6 January 2013. Delivery by Fedex.

Purchased 7 items from Hollister for about USD80 plus (excluding USD45 shipping fee). Also ordered on 31 December 2013, shipped by hollister on 2 January 2014 and arrived on 8 January 2013. Delivery also be Fedex.

However, currently there's a snowstorm affecting many parts of US that might slow down the process. Also, usually before CNY, there will be a delivery backlogged in Singapore (Last year, I ordered from ASOS with expedited shipping 10 days before CNY hoping that it could arrive in Singapore before CNY. But it only arrived 2 weeks after CNY due to the backlogged in delivery and due to bad weather in Singapore). So, try to order asap to ensure that delivery comes before the CNY period.

I guess for the same price with shipping you cant possibly buy so many items in the Singapore store. But you should really try the sizes in the store first before buying it online as the sizes and cutting might be different. Shipping is based on the monetary value of items bought. So for purchases below USD100 and above USD100 respectively, will be USD45 and USD50 for both Hollister and Abercrombie.

Buying online and in the store is mostly the same actually. It's just that sometimes certain popular sizes for popular items such as S, M etc would run out. Buying online almost guarantees you those sizes unless they're not displayed on the site anymore.

The main advantage from buying online would be the "online exclusive" designs which could not be found in the stores. As for "Flagship exclusive" designs you see on the site, they could mostly be found in the SG store as well as it is an AF Flagship.

I remember seeing many products online but not in the stores despite it not being labelled flagship or online only. So I would assume buying online would mostly guarantee you those designs that you want.

Online prices should be the same as the ones in the store it doesn't really matter. Except that there might be clearance in the store but on the website it is only occasional.

Thanks. Off topic, but does ur job contract need u to stay buff n provide u an allowance for ur "body maintenance"?

I know they have entry criteria but always curious about how it works after u get the job.

Theres a "look policy" to look clean and stuff but don't have to be buff and hot etc (unless you're the topless door model of course) You don't get additional allowance for "body maintenance" but theres extra pay for every public holidays in the month [regardless whether you work on the day itself or not]
