Actually, which is better? Singapore Tax Workbook or Master Tax Guide?

Anyone self study and took level 1 papers but did not enrol for class in SAA? Should be alright to do this way right? I read through their terms, they did not state that it is a must to enrol for any class before stepping in for exam.

I am going to do this way also. My opinion is that Level 1 study by ur own bcos it is basic papers. Level 2 and Level 3 u can take course. in order to complete all the papers quickly, I go to this way, study 2 basic papers, and take F4 & F5 course, so that I can enter 4 papers in one session. but it is a crazy job bcos enter 4 papers in one session is too rush for study and you must be very hardworking on study.

if u ask me.. f1-f3 is a piece of cake.. it is only when u took f4-f9 where u will feel the stress coming.
p1-p7 is when u are going to give up and have told yourself never ever to study for such a difficult qualification

Erm how is the current market? I mean must finish how many papers then you can work and get a decent pay like maybe 1.8k~2k = poly diploma level? Anyone tried like complete F1 to F6 then continue accounting route by taking degree in accounting which might be easier?

haha I saw the passing percentage, I was quite shock. I guess I will challenge myself to take the ACCA route.

Been trying to get a job in the big4. seem not easy. Was told that opening for this year has been closed......

especially when you see examiner's answer..for those who pass P papers do we really need to answer like that to pass? :(

Nope. Impt thing is u get the point. No need to write so much.

Nope. Master tax guide is not required for P6. I took my P6 with SAA. I can guarantee for those that read the text guide to likely fail the P6 paper. P6 is about tax planning. The tax guide is about fundamental and there is no example that is useful for the exam.

ACCA class at SIM

Anybody has any idea/comments about upcoming ACCA classes at SIM? Just received an email from them about it and I'm keen simply because SIM is within walking distance from my home.

http://www.simge.edu.sg/gePortalWeb...ails&contentID=idcpub004017&fid=CourseDetails

Apparently they don't seem to offer all the modules (just F4,6 and P papers) at the moment and there is no mention as to who the lecturers are.
