if yes, maybe u can take 1 full time and 1 part time class, then u can get both of them

i came with exemptions, so i wasn't taught by helena. but my friends mentioned that she is good.

Hi,

As far as last sitting is concern, I wrote in to ACCA Global to clarify whether correction tape and fluid was allowed. The answer was "Yes".

I used on my F4 paper in June 11 and was forbidden to use it on my subsequent F6 paper by the invigilator. I was furious coz I have got the approval from UK. I called ACCA Singapore and they removed the announcement of disallowing correction fluid and tape. Went ahead to use it on my F5 without problem.

Explanation given, they were not sure if it was ok when they first started scanning answer scripts for marking in UK. So, the instruction was not to use them. Later on, I think they concluded that it doesn't matter, so examination guides do not mention it anymore.

I intend to use erasable black pen for my papers this December. Correction tape jammed my black pens very much. Changed 5 refills in 3 days. I was told that poor quality correction fluid may crack and answer may get lost in transit. Will still bring along the fluid and tape in case needed lah.

Nicholas aah... so so only. He waste a lot of time getting us to copy Exam Focus and at the end, he gave us everything we copied in the last class.

He gives out his own notes which is rather concise. Sometimes I still wonder if I will miss out anything by relying on his notes. He is very hardworking though. He cares to mark our homework individually and gives his comments.

To me, a theory paper like F4 and F8 requires conceptual mind mapping. Reading points after points in sentences are very difficult to memorise.

I had a very good F4 lecturer, David Chang. He emphasize on the substance of the topics again and again. Unlike Nicholas, he emphasize wrong things. He will emphasize on the questions and the number of points we need to write; not the content we have to write. In his revision class, I feel like I go there to copy questions than copying answers.

Studying F8 becomes very tough coz my impression of the substance is not deep in my mind. Difficult to start writing every time i look at my revision kit.

Hi, my wife (27yr old) is currently a student in NUS EE, and she was from Nanyang Poly. She keeps failing her exam in NUS and I was wondering whether she should quit NUS and study for ACCA.

Just wondering whether ACCA graduate's job prospect is good. How much will one receives as a starting pay?

Nah .... I am not saying you looked down on ACCA. I am just trying to warn you the fact that your wife might not be able reach either side of the river as ACCA is not as simple as you think. If she give up her NUS qualification, she may end up with neither here nor there. Moreover, with her NUS qualification, she can seek 9 subjects exemption from ACCA. She should go to the talks about ACCA and decides for herself.

Regarding job prospect, I figured it would be as good as an University graduate. The starting pay should be quite similar as well. With that being side, having a NUS degree + ACCA will be more advantageous.

Haha sorry that I misunderstood you. Yes, this is the last resort as she really cannot continue with her NUS education. It is too difficult for her.

I am aware that ACCA is hard. I took 2 ACCA module before (Taxation and F5 I think) and found it not easy.
