HELLO EVEYONE.
I need some help here. I'm really interested in taking up ACCA but I currently dont know which tuition provided to choose. Kaplan, SAA or LSBF? any recommended lecturers for the fundamental level, F1-F3? how are the lecturers? helpful? the notes provided?

Do help me out people. really appreciate your comments here. :D

F1-F3

I note that this intake has seen a number of comments about specific tutors not being liked/favoured by students. For the benefit of all the students on this forum, some thoughts:

- everyone learns in different ways, and what is good for some will not work for others. Only way to find out is probably to suck it and see. Try to attend open evenings, or any freebie sessions, or ask fellow students - but if a tutor has got packed classrooms then I suspect they are probably doing something right!

- as with all internet forums, please bear in mind that schools "place" people on here to spread their messages. Bear this in mind when reading anti-tutor posts, as there is always a risk that it is not a real student. Try to get feedback from your own friends offline, as the advice of strangers can sometimes be dangerous.

For the record (and for "transparency", just to please P1 students), my name is Paul and I am a tutor at LSBF - so do not bother asking me for views on specific tutors/schools as I clearly have major self-interest and advocacy threats to my independence!

But if you want factual information, feel free to ask.

Hi Paul. do you teach F1-F3? if i'm not wrong you only teach F1 right? the other two lecturers for F2 and F3 are part time lectures? Looking forward for your reply.

Cheers!

Wanna ask about the ACCA/ICPAS JES Opt-in thing, is it the norm for students to choose opt-in as it provide extra avenue of ICPAS? What you all choose? I notice future ACCA students have the ACCA only route.

Can the ACCA only route with relevant requirements become CPA too? If yes then ICPAS membership not that important right...

There is another briefing coming up... anyone has insights already to share? Or most things are on the website already, I can't find the annual fee to ICPAS though lol.

General info: ESR : ACCA/CAT
ICPAS benefits:ESR : ACCA/CAT

I think you need to register before September 12 because they're not renewing the JES.

Hi there. He is quite good for p2 as well. I took his class and manage to clear first time. I heard his passing rate was about 80% from my fren who asked the staff in the school. Not sure how true. This was for dec 11 sitting.
