I think yes but u will subject to new membership requirement upon joining their members again.

Thanks GunzerX, bcos I don't think I will get CPA within next 5 yrs. What is the purpose of having ICPAS membership in my scenario. I am still taking ACCA though.

P3 Lecturer

Hi All,

Ive already completed all my ACCA papers except for P3. Last time around I signed up for p3 under Dominic from LSBF but I really wasnt able to click with his teaching style & hence did not sit for the exams. He was messy & all over the place & I did have a tough time even trying to understand the subject. Could anyone be kind enough to advice me who I could choose this time around!

I've heard about Philip Woo, Marty Kindly & Mr. Nageb. Any feedbacks please. Am looking to sign up by next week once the results are 'officially' out so do help me out!

Cheers!

Heard many good feedbacks abt Marty. U can go for FTMS Marty Windle. follow by Philip Woo (SAA) Mr Nageb and Andy Tan (Kaplan).

There is my own preference though.

Dear all,

I'm under ICPAS plus route. Can I opt out to subscribe ACCA membership solely, and re-subscribe ICPAS membership when I completed ACCA qualification?

I would like to opt out too. May i know what's the procedures to do so? I tried calling ICPAS but always directed to voice mail.

Does anyone know what's the new membership criterias to fulfil if I will to rejoin next time? Thanks.

Updated: I have sent an email to ICPAS and they called me back shortly. Once opt out, we cannot opt in again.

Agreed.. I wondered why they have such policy forbidding students to opt in again in the future.

I think u all better to clarify. To my knowledge is Acca student cannot opt back to icpas provisional member under joint icpas with acca.. However, students who opt out earlier, are to join under the new requirement to join as icpas member.

If you want to have joint recognition with ICPAS and ACCA once you complete your studies then you must stick with ICPAS Plus route. Pay annual fee to both. End of story. There is no other way.

If you want ACCA only, then opt out of ICPAS Plus route. Only pay annual fee to ACCA. But, no recognition with ICPAS. You will not be allowed back if you opt out and change your mind later. End of story.

Meaning if only opt in ACCA route cannot be CPA sg in future?
Even if complete acca and with 3 yrs relevant work experience?

Not too sure about what ICPAS is required for. Anyone can share info?

I think alot of ppl here not clear either. If u are acca direct route member who opt out to be icpas provision membership status. You will be subject to future requirement to become ICPAS associate based on new Mutual recognition agreement (MRA) btw ICPAS and ACCA.

So currently, i not sure what difference will icpas-acca member and acca member will get for future as this is not announced yet. Both end up must take post qualification exam (Professional exam) in future.

Professional Membership with ACCA and ICPAS
JES Students who opt for ICPAS Plus:

Membership to ACCA will be awarded after completing the examinations, fulfilling the necessary practical experience requirements and completing the Professional Ethics Module.

Membership to ICPAS will be after completion of ACCA examinations and achieving the relevant admission criteria at the time of application for membership to ICPAS. There are no changes to the criteria at the moment.

Has anyone tried loggin to MyACCA?

I tried and it gives me a different view. Is it normal??

Do you have any more pending papers to take? Mine also gives a different view... like a white background and more clean. my other friends who still have pending papers are still having the old view (black and yellow?).

Not sure if it affects :s11:
