Roy goh is stronger at theory. Sami is great but theory wise he will give a very summarised version of the actual answer. U will have to do your part to read up the examiner answers to get an idea the standard required

i recommend AP chee is the way to go. I am a part time student who did not have time to go for full lessons but he is the only lecturer that i attended almost 100% class. His notes alot are enough to pass or even get 70+

Sigh but saa will be at aljunied which is far from my working place (tanjong pagar) perhaps i will choose kaplan helena . Need to consider... But de way do u think i shud take f5 f 7 f8 in one go? Or f7 n f8 (exam date 1 day apart., but f7 mine is retake)

usually AP Chee part time main class lectures are at Capital Tower which is at Tanjong Pagar. U may check the schedule to confirm.

AP chee class for F8 and P1 is at tanjong pagar Capital Tower.

F5 is monday, f7 is wed and F8 is thurs. Will it be too tiring for u? I took F7 and F8 this sem already feel very tired after first exam.

btw guys got one qns to ask you all regarding acca oxford brookes degree classification:

I heard from one friend that the level 2 classification on fundamental papers take consideration of all your F papers that you sit (whether u fail or pass). Is it true?

For example, student A got 30 for F4 first time then resit got 70 marks. So his F4 result to be taken for degree classification is not 70 but 50 (70+30/2). But transcript will show as 70 for acca cert.

However,i check acca website and found this paragraph that mentioned the grading method:

The ACCA average mark will be calculated by taking the numerical average of the marks achieved in the Fundamentals Skills papers (F4–F9) that you have sat and passed.

Thus does this mean they only take consideration of mark that you passed and cleared?

anyone can enlighten or clarify this? which is true?

I went yesterday to SAA to sign up for Mr Chee's class. Class room would be at SAA HQ Aljunied unfortunately.


GunerX: Yah guess it would be very tiring, but i found out at opentution.com that F7 and F8 comination is most welcome /accepted , so guess is possible.x_X

something is missing ( charges to SOCI) and maybe misplaced in the chart... can someone tell me how to do it?

depreciation for the year is 8280
accumulated depreciation at the start is 103386, at the end is 111666
cost is 568007
carrying amount is 464621 at the start, 456341 at the end

The credit side of depreciation account should be I/S, not accumulated depreciation.
The accumulated depreciation should have a credit balance b/f. But yours is on the debit side.

With regards to your query on payment of your ICPAS Student Membership fees for 2013, please await our payment notice which will be sent to you via your email within the next few weeks. The online payment gateway is currently closed and will be opened for students to enact their student membership fee payment upon the sending out of the payment notices. Within the payment notice will also indicate the guidelines on how to proceed to enact online payment.

The deadline for enactment of your ICPAS Student Membership fees is end January 2013.
