you didn't know what kind of qualification ACCA was before you even decided to study for it?

it is a professional qualification, not degree / master...

adv. diploma is not really commonly used here in Singapore as the degree of education is not as detailed till this extent... but i'd say it still belongs to a diploma, not a degree. perhaps with experience it could be on par with a fresh graduate or even better. (for eg. nursing)

ok for yr info what is called a advance diploma in UK context.

An Advanced Diploma is considered equivalent to 2/3 yrs in the UK University level prior to a full Bachelors degree being conferred. This is different from the assumption of most people that an Advanced Diploma is equivalent to a Bachelors degree.

ACCA is professional qualification. It itself is an accounting qualification beside other certified acct qualification like CA or CPA. As such, SG QP dun recognised ACCA as degree equivalent. You can only do QP if u have ACCA + a basic degree

High chance for sg number 1. Which school did you do with ? If you self-study, even if you get number 1 you won't get notified. Because school will inform their respective students if they get into top 3. Last time when ACCA still had the joint scheme with ICPAS, even self-study candidates who topped would get notified by ICPAS but it is not the case now. You can only judge by others' standings i think.

Agree sometime i only see 1 prizewinner for second place for F5 June 2012 in all SAA/FTMS/LSBF/Kaplan. Didnt see any number 1 and 3 placing in SG in any of these sch. I assume the first and third is self study type.

In addition, if you are world wide prizewinner, meaning u rank top 3 in whole of ACCA for yr paper, you will be notified by ACCA directly. This is different as compared to top prizewinner in SG.

Yvonne Goh is the best. I managed to clear my P6 with her 1st sitting. Her structure layout lecture presentation is spot on! Hope this helps.

Sami is the best for F7, F9, P2 & P4. F8 just sign up get the books & self study thats the best! Go through the revision kit & you should be fine. Best was Paul Owen Merrison but hes no longer here in SGP sadly...

Heard Joanne Tan from Kaplan not bad also. Teach quite well for F6..not sure if P6 she is available.

Anyway Yvonne goh i heard she like to ask "Are you guys ok" everytime in lesson and her voice is loud and clear. Lesson is boring. She is good though.

Usually after 3weeks or 1mth. If u are Global prizewinner, notification will be around 3-4weeks. Local prizewinner may depends on the efficiency of your school announcement whether u are from SAA, LSBF, FTMS or Kaplan. June prizewinner probably notify in Sept. Dec Prizewinner in March.

Just curious, are you waiting for such announcment?
