ACCA is internationally recognized. I don't really see the merits in getting a second professional membership.

Anyway I looked it up. ICAEW got 15 papers in total iirc. Exemptions for ACCA members are:

Not sure if you still need to clock working experience under their authorized trainers?

Might as well go for SQP in the first place if you really want to get CA Singapore.

I would like to get a CA SG eventually. And since I registered after the transitional arrangement period, I can only get CA through ICAEW.

The exemptions I think are only for global paper and therefore we still have to take papers.

Furthermore even if i take SQP, still need to take OBU and then take foundation papers for SQP.. I think this route is slower as compared to icaew?

I am planning to take up an accounting qualification. Should I enrol for ACCA for the CA programme? Which one is preferred?

If i took F6 singapore tax, will there be any implication for icaew exemptions? Should i just self study for P6 uk tax then?
Anyone knows if they have to be uk variant? Their website didnt state.

I just confirmed with icaew that they DO NOT discriminate variant papers for acca exemptions. Cheers

Thank goodness!
Thanks for checking!

So we have to do additional 3 after completing acca papers?

For work experience we can actually work at one place and sign off at both icaew and acca right?

Yes

I dont think there is a problem with that as long your experience meets the requirements of each

Ok got it.
What are the options after completing ACCA?
Is it easy to find a job, with the competition of NTU/NUS graduates?

In addition to above,

Any body taken lsbf Roy Goh class? Any comments?
I know many would consider lsbf sami, but I have decided not to take his class for P2.

Took roy for f7 and sami for p2. I personally recommend sami. I didnt like roys teaching style :/

I am curious, what is his teaching style like? Never been to his class before, only Sami for P2.

I just felt quite confused and I felt his teaching wasnt comprehensive. He also wasted a lot of time talking about other matters unrelated to accounting. In contrast, Samis is more wholesome and focused

Hmm I agree sami is very focused. But somehow I felt he was rather unapproachable after class and wasn't very patient when answering after class enquiries.. Therefore I wanted to try Roy class. Is roy patient with questions?

Lucky, I didn’t sign up for his class, seems like a waste of time and money. :x

Yup roy is more approachable. I dont really ask that many questions so I cant really comment on that
