acowtancy.com free resources is all u need if u kaisu, u can buy their online classroom too.

for someone like myself with limited budget and time, self study is pretty much the only option

He did UK for f4 and local sg for f6.. f6 can't study from acowtancy.. you need to source your own study materials online

To be honest.. not that important to do f4 sg variant.. for f6 tax.. do take the sg variant..

Acowtancy is really a good site.. I've used both acowtancy and opentuition and feel that acowtancy has better methods at delivering the syllabus and it's also more exam focused

Question on Hire Purchase interest

Hello all,

I have a question on calculation of HP interest. Say
Amount Finance (Principal) : $40,000
Term Loan interest : $5,980
Effective interest rate (r) : 2.99%
Monthly installment : $767
Final installment : $727
No. of installments mth : 60

If I use the parameters ( P/r/$767/$727) above and run the amortisation table, I cannot zerolised the loan at all. Can somebody guide me?

I studied F6 and F7 simultaneously and did F8 later. I would not recommend doing F6 and F7 together because they both require many calculations. I think F8 should be quite manageable with F6 tho

Opentuition is great. For F4 SG variant, never see before but can try online but honestly F4 is not that important. I did my F4 UK variant in Sg and it doesn't really matter. Still got a job

Any recommended lecturer for FR and PM? I should be alright with FM since my course covers corporate finance but is not eligible for exemption due to change of syllabus..
