Hi people, i am thinking of taking ACCA in January next year but i am not sure if acca is still relevant in Singapore by the time i get my certificate somewhere in 2024. Any advice on this? Your advices are much appreciated. Thank you.

ACCA is still recognised in Singapore and perhaps more than CA SG in many other countries.

However, if you forsee yourself working in SG accountancy sector for a long time, its best for you to consider SQP instead.

Can anyone recommend a good AAA lecturer? Can't seem to pass this paper although going for my third try, being 47/100 each time.

Just called ISCA, turns out ACCA right now cannot even qualify to take the SQP due to the transitional arrangements ending. Anyone got any updates or solutions?

Daniel Chee at LSBF is the best imo, his notes super comprehensive and lectures are not boring.

Lots of practical experience too, ex partner at deloitte etc i think

Hi,

I am looking to buy LSBF course text for december 2018 paper (ACCA TAX) - LSBF don't sell tax course text unfortunately for self study students. Anyone keen to help me to purchase? Will pay more for your efforts. Thanks in advance.

Hey I'm letting go of my entire LSBF ATX notes (latest syllabus) for June 2019 sitting, inclusive of the revision notes, answers, revision kit, lecture notes and Singapore Tax Workbook.

Are you interested??

Ya, no more paper-based exams for the foundation papers, but the professional level papers are still paper-based. I think they'll talk more about this during the module's revision class.

F9 can go for Sami (LSBF)?? I was under him for AFM found him quite good.

I think they won't be tying up anymore as Singapore is determined to have its own brand of CA. So most likely they won't be in partnership with those foreign accounting associations anymore.

If you really want to take SQP then perhaps you should try ICAEW

I am currently under him fr AFM also, and he does seem to be very well versed with his material. But cuz I was exempted from FM, I'm trying to catch up like crazy.

ACCA and ISCA CA Membership

Hi,

I would like to ask this question..I am currently studying ACCA and have a UOL degree in accounting and finance. When I complete the CA and register with ISCA, can I still keep my ACCA membership?

Would appreciate any insight on this issue.

Thank you all very much.

Yes but that means u have to pay for the memberships u hold (i.e. membership fees to both ACCA and ISCA).
