Hi all, does anyone have advise on F3 cbe? Took it last week but failed badly. Went for another slot this afternoon and was scoring the same. I'm revising with BPP textbook and was able to do most of the questions in their revision kit. Been also mugging almost 8 hours everyday and doing online questions, still no luck.

Try Kaplan study text and exam kit, much easier to understand than BPP.

I didn’t take P6, only took P7. Was quite confident but flunk

Depends on individual. My friend told me P6 is easy and he passed at first or second try but I took a long while. People say P7 is tough but I passed at first attempt. So I am wondering why I can pass P7 at first attempt and P6 multiple attempt still cmi.


I come to conclude in my opinion 1) Depends on individual 2) depends on which seating cause I am not the type study 100% so luck do play apart in my exam.

For us who are pursuing ACCA, the reason is obvious. If we are accepted into the local Accountancy degrees we won’t have taken up a professional qualifications and worry about SQP.

I cannot confirm but i believe the content is the same? Just that there is no option questions to choose from. Hmm

cannot choose now, and sept 2018 is the first roll out for all the new revamp for papers hmm

at first i thought the change only affect p1&p3 now combined into SBL

and p2 becomes SBR

SQP professional programme is similar to ACCA professional papers in terms of curriculum. The standard is equivalent to a Master’s degree, not much difference, other than the country of origin. Local accountancy graduates used to be able to skip SQP entirely to get the former CPA title with only a local bachelor’s degree. It’s harder for them to get the rebranded CA title now.

if u are an auditor, I think it should not be an issue. That was what my friend did.

True, the questions are set based on work scenarios anyway, which may not appear in past year questions.

If that*********s the case, no need to study a local degree since ACCA is equivalent to CA sg.

For Pte coy they treat it as degree. If applying civil service then they don't consider it as degree

Any butties has any comment on the new SBL module? Seem like for PT there's only 2 lecturers at the moment Domnic & Marty (for Jan intake) but Marty schedule not out yet.
