Any one knows if you can still take on the Oxford degree after graduating from ACCA few years back?

I graduated in 2016 Dec and was after the transition period so I won't be able to get the local CA. Thinking to get a degree to widen my jobs choices or maybe to take up CIA or CISA courses to upskill myself. Currently in audit for the past 3+ years.

Oxbridge? Yes.

Why not got for the Msc UOL? CISA is more common for IT auditors.

I checked the school fees for MSc, it's too expensive for me. Yup, I'm considering entering IT audit, but will have to start all over since I have no prior experience.

If ure entering big 4 IT audit, they usually would sponsor CISA. If its too expensive then u can consider it again next time:)

Considered ICAEW ACA? Then convert to CA Singapore. You may join an approved training employee or getting your qualified supervisor to be your approved training principal to fulfill the 3 years practical working experience.

Previously, there was a MRA which allows students who registered BEFORE 31 July 2013 to attain CA (SG) if they managed to clear all the exams, PAC and working experience within the transitional arrangement.

But if you register as a student AFTER 31 July 2013, you do not fall under the MRA.

You will have to wait for the NEW Proposed Reciprocal Membership Agreement (RMA) between ACCA, ISCA and SAC to be executed with an indicative timeline of December 2016, which will also provide a pathway to attain CA (SG).
But it is quite uncertain as they have yet to announce details regarding the new RMA.

这一等就是等了七年. 我等到花兒也謝了.

From July 2013 to now Sep 2020, I wonder if anyone is still waiting?

This is the latest news:

6. Does the JPP have any impact on the expected Reciprocal Membership Agreement (RMA) between ACCA and ISCA?

The JPP does not impact any future RMA negotiations between ACCA and ISCA. The JPP was a separate programme to support students in pursuit of their ACCA Qualification.

7. How can I become a Chartered Accountant of Singapore [CA (Singapore)]?

ACCA is currently working with the relevant authorities towards reciprocity arrangements and a pathway to CA (Singapore) will be announced in due course. In the meantime, ACCA members should also consider embarking on life-long education offered by both organisations to stay ahead and be ready for opportunities in future accountancy careers

I dont think its gonna happen in the near future.

Maybe can try to convert from ACCA to ICAEW then to CA SG? has anyone tried switching twice?

Hi I need some guidance.

For those who self study, where do you get the study materials?
Do Kaplan or BPP sell their study materials to those who do not register courses with them ?

I currently want to take ATX and AFM. What I have are only past year papers.

Any advice will be much appreciated :)

Kinokuniya sells ACCA textbooks. Kaplan does not sell their materials to non-students. You can check out Carousell too for used ones.

Hi, does anyone knows the 3years requirements with taking acca? It has to be signed off by a qualified accountant before you can graduate?

What happens when you have left the company?

You are referring to the PER experience, you can login to your acca portal add in all your experience ( current company or previous company. For each of them you can add in your supervisor in and his/her email. Then they will send an email to them to verify your experience.

Hi, can anyone give me some advice please.
I’m in the last profession paper and was taking AAA for about 2 times yet still failed.
and I’m planning take an exam this year end.
should I continue to the AAA or the AFM will be better ? As for the AAA I might consider to retake the course and revision class again due to the change of syllabus and computer based exam.
