I trying to tell ACCA students how great this exam is. I really have high respect for people who took this exam and managed to clear 1 paper.

I now struggling with my first paper taxation. I used 2 weeks and still cannot even grasp the basic concept hehe

Point taken - and I am not a tax expert so cannot really comment on how the Sg F6 paper might be changing for 2011. I know the UK paper is getting Inheritance Tax added to the syllabus - but IHT does not exist in Singapore, or am I wrong?

Nope. There's no mention of Inheritance Tax at all in singapore if it only covers personal taxation..heard from yvonne Singapore Budget 2010 largely affecting how government taxing companies and foreign talents.

what is your current job? so CFA is wasteful for you?

what is your tips to pass the CFA with >70%?

The schwesser notes alone is not enough right? you did it while you were working? or you study full time?

Free revision courses in Singapore

Guys - I am thinking I might run some free (yes, free - no strings attached) P1 and P7 revision courses for Dec 2010. I have some free time and do not work for an accredited Singapore ACCA college at present, so I cannot charge even if I wanted to.

2 or 3 days intensive revision (or 6 evenings as an alternative).

Would this be of interest?

I can let you tell me some dates if you want, as I have a very free diary in Oct and Nov (except for my wife and daughter having birthdays - I hope you understand I must prioritise!)

If you want them, I'll do them.

Am already doing some in KL and not getting paid a cent (or should that be sen?) and feel Singapore should not miss out.

I do not teach F3, purely because I am needed on the higher level P papers. But I certainly could teach it - I cannot give exam technique tips on F3, but if you have any technical questions about financial accounting I suggest you PM me - not sure the other folks on here want to watch a stream of questions about debits and credits!

why do you want to teach for free?

Since nobody in Singapore knows who I am, why would any student pay to turn up?!

Some time soon I may well want to start providing classes on a commercial basis and charge, but students will not go to a tutor unless there is some evidence they are any good. Therefore, I aim to provide that evidence the best way possible - by "walking the walk", so to speak.

For free.

A sort of X-Factor audition, without the singing. Probably.

Sir, I am interested. I am going to retake my P1 and some of the level 3 papers. Can i know what papers except P1 & P7? How to contact you and arrange time. i used to a working adult but i quit my job recently hopefully can focus my level 3 papers in this coming Dec exam.
