Sami from Kaplan is popular. I took F5 under Roy Goh. He is okay but then, to me, F5 is not as difficult as other subjects.

i'm currently attending Roy Goh's class. I don't like Roy Goh's attitute towards teaching. He is simply irresponsible i could say. I took F2 in SAA and thus used to some method in solving some questions. he taught a totally different method which doesn't fit into the definition and totally doesn't make sense to me. so, i carried on my own method taught in SAA and asked him whether it is correct. he said "yes yes, ur answer is correct, but why is ur answer different from mine huh?" I AM VERY SURE MY ANSWER AND METHOD IS CORRECT. He said my method is correct too. there could only be one reason- his method is wrong. and it totally doesn't make sense to me. He simply said "aiya, just accept my method la.." and he walked off - without trying to providing further help.

it happened to my other friend as well. He said "i really donnoe. just do the normal way."

I really wondered. Is he really a lecturer?

Is anyone interested in F6 Yvonne Goh's revision? I've registered for F7, but decided to postpone this exam till next semester. purposely changed to F6 because my friend wanted it, and he told me he will be overseas and dun want it anymore. So trying to sell it away at $240 (negotiable). U.P. $305. Thanks..

YES. Yvonne Goh is good. I have a friend in GSW's class last semester, failed, and change to yvonne goh's class. and she's says that her explaination to concepts is very clear, and she very approachable. so long as u have any questions, she's more than willing to help. and the most impt thing she said "she dun waste time taking nonsense".

In that case i think you should try Sami, Im in Sami's class. I heard from most people Roy is also not bad for F5, maybe because his class is 'less serious'.
Some concepts are difficult to change once you get the hang of it, thats why I dont really like to change lecturers around. I'll stick to Sami all the way! He is really brilliant.

Agree. Sami's F7 is really great. Just that I'm used to saa's lecturer's method.

Can we register directly to ACCA rather than ICPAS?

i think it's because of the JES. joint-exam-scheme.. that icpas recognises the qualification of acca. so must register for both..

I also took F2 from SAA - Ben Tan. But left SAA because of F6 and the general quality of their notes.

I think Roy is okay, he teaches you what you need to know to pass the exams. Even so, I only took his class because Sami doesn't teach F5 in the evening.
