actually the question should be how many papers do you intend to take including F5? If you are taking only 2 papers. Take F4 and F5. Reason being they are not back to back papers and most probably I suggest you go to Kaplan for F4(Kweh Soon Han or Terence Tan) and LSBF(Sami) for F5.

If however you want to take 3 papers including F5. I would advice taking F7. I often dun recommend taking back to back papers, being F5 and F7. However, since you already have background knowledge in F5 it should not be a huge problem. F7 go to LSBF Sami. I think if you want to enroll Sami's class better hurry. At this point of time his class would usually be fully booked.

Hi, Thanks for your reply!
I intend to take 2 papers including F5. For F4, I'm exempted. I am wondering will it be a good idea to enroll for F8. Please advise :)

ok, so i assume u left with F45789

since you are taking F 5, F9 should not be attempted as there is certain interlink betywen the two. so that leaves you with F478, which are theory based. they arent really interlink, so any of thm should be fine. oh prepare to memorise a lot of theory.

Any lecturer to recommend for F8? :)

Helena Johnson. i only took her lecture before, and i seriously recommende her. her lecture often produce the top 3 students of singapore. however, since she is an angmoh, u need to be equiped with at least a decent standard of english.

Read some comments saying it's not advisable to take F8 before completing F7; is it true?

For F8, which lecturer is better?
* Mr Chee Hay Kheong - SAA
* Helena Johnson - Kaplan
* Nicholas Woo - Kaplan

Urgently need some advices coz have to enroll for class by this week!
Thanks in advance!!

since when someone said about F7 and F8?

F7 and F8 are both theory, and F8 is standalone. there is no effect to it. the only thing is F7 and F8 hen being taken together, will take up a lot of time for memory work.

F8 lecturer: december 2010, all of sg top 3 students are from HJ class

guess they tie. HJ mntioned the top 3 students are 88, 84 and 83. i checked kaplan notice board and they are from her class. since it is posible to score the same mark, so maybe they joined top?

New Examination Dates for ACCA Dec 2011 Sittings:

Mon 5 Dec: F5 Performance Management, P7 Advanced Audit and Assurance

Tue 6 Dec: F6 Taxation, P4 Advanced Financial Management

Wed 7 Dec: F7 Financial Reporting

Thu 8 Dec: F8 Audit and Assurance, P5 Advanced Performance Management

Fri 9 Dec: F1 Accountant in Business, F9 Financial Management, P6 Advanced Taxation

Mon 12 Dec : F4 Corporate and Business Law, P3 Business Analysis

Tue 13 Dec: F3 Financial Accounting, P2 Corporate Reporting

Wed 14 Dec: F2 Management Accounting, P1 Governance, Risks and Ethics

Source: OpenTuition quoting from ACCA. But accaglobal haven officially updated their exam timetable for dec 2011.

Disclaimer: source not accurate don't flame me :)

What's the effect to this change? F5 and P1 no longer clash, F7 and P2 no longer clash. This means people can take F7 and P2 concurrently i guess. eg. Sukkieman. Good news for you right?

I think ACCA should release the new time table earlier so that students can actually plan for the papers they intend to sit. I felt it is a little too late for students whom have enrolled into classes already.

Jus enroll for ACCA and planning to take up F1-F3 for this upcoming dec exam...

As i am planning to self-study for F1-F3, i would like to know if it's possible for me to purchase lecture notes and exam kit from Kaplan or SAA? Or i may be better off purchasing online from others?

How much will e notes and kits usually cost if i purchase them online from others?

What's your well planned schedule can share? how come it's a hassle for foreign students to sign up for more class?
