I'm left with all the P papers to take. I intend to take 2 papers, one for self study and one to attend lecture. Which combination would be good?

Was thinking of taking P1 for self study and another paper to go with P1, where can i obtain P1 notes?

Regards,

I would go for p1 n p3 since p2 would be back to back papers. Not sure if can take optional paper. Maybe someone else can confirm

I suggest taking for p1 and p3. there are small similarity between topics between both papers.

you can't take optional papers unless you finish your core papers. not even if you attempted them before.
Passed P2 but failed P1 last exam. tried putting through P3 and one optional paper but the system rejected my request. hope this help.

any tips for P3? :D

Currently I'm taking ACCA part-time and completed f1-f3, now doing f4 & f5 for june paper. Intending to get the Oxford brooks degree course after F9 paper.

However, I have a seating in NTU- Physic/Applied Physic starting in this coming August 12. It's a 4 years course

I also completed my Electronic DIP in NP with a GPA 3.6

My thinking was to complete my academic asap and start working
Thus, not sure which route will be a better job prospect in the society in terms of salary and working life.

Please advise
Thanks!

feel like crying already... today P5 i think i failed already... and thats because i didnt know the question... completely missed out question 5, and go do Q4 which i dont know at all. in the end it turn out that i actually know Q5, just that i dont understand what the Question is asking... other question also cant do the calculation...

damn sad now, this is the first time i think i seriously would fail a paper, and futhermore this is my last semester, so i gotta wait for another semester just for one stupid subject because i miss read the question...

no mood to study now.... next week still got one more paper... haiz

I have read through the P5 paper for this sitting, for me i feel that he did not tone down the difficulty after a disastrous pass rate, however the requirements are much clearer, mark allocation is easier to break down as compared to Dec 11 sitting. The level of analysis required in that 3 hours is really demanding...alex watt seems to squeeze the max out of P5 students.

Since P5 is done, you should concentrate in your remaining papers instead of thinking what should have been done for that paper...( I was in the same position as you 6 months ago) All the best for your remaining papers!

P5 sounds like a scary paper. I'm thinking of taking that next sem. Other options would be p4 or p6 as I'm already taking p7. Don't dare take p4 as my calculatiOn is weak n don wan p6 cos I don't really like tax. Lol.

On the bright side, P5 is not as time pressured as compared to P6. Think on the spot and we can start writing. I failed P5 last round and took P6 yesterday, got a shock again as Q1 is only half a page long for 38 marks! This time, i know i got sufficient marks to pass and should be graduating after months of studying if nothing goes wrong:s13:

For me P5 is actually an interesting subject, but our dear examiner made us do so much critical analysis...know all performance models well and you should be alright, he is fair on the requirements this time round

hi i'm thinking if i should take ACCA or ICPAS PE. Previously from SIM-UOL Accounting and Finance.

If ACCA, then should i go with Kaplan or SAA. I heard a couple of people talking about mix (SAA & Kaplan), but i'm not sure how it goes.

Would anyone enlighten me please? Thank you!!! :)

Hiii, you might want to check with ICPAS. I've emailed them (almost half a year ago) and they told me there isn't PE anymore. I'm also a SIM-UOL grad.

Hi,

I am selling F4 and F6 notes, study text and revision kit, everything from SAA global (took exams in Dec'11 though). Kindly pm me if interested.

Anyway, anyone taken P1 before? Is it advisable to self-study P1? I am looking for P1 notes by Prof Chee HK from SAA, anyone selling it?
