Anyone can help to advice the computer base exam for F1 - F3?
Where can attend this CBE? How much it cost? any schedule?

If you go to NTUC Learning Hub, there's no date schedule. You can choose any weekday, 3 time slot a day. Only drawback is, its a little more expensive than other centres at $220/paper.

1) There are a few schools you can study at, go for those platinum or at least gold approved tuition providers. the more popular ones are kaplan/LSBF/SAA/FTMS

2) u can take F4-F9 in any order. I would suggest looking at the exam dates of each paper and see which you are comfortable with in taking together. You could also maybe pair the papers such as 1 theory based and 1 calculation based together

3) Self-study is possible. perhaps subjects like F9 you should attend lectures to understand the calculations as it is quite technical. theory based you could probably self study.

4) F8- Mr Chee

Coz i juz grad tis yr feb and din recevie hardcopy completion cert. had dropped an email to acca and they confirmed it. if wan hardcopy ..nid to pay 22 pounds

i think they are just a money leecher... membership paid to give them good life in UK

It depends on how confident you are with calculations. CBE is not all MCQ. There are some questions where you have to do calculations and key in the answer. There is no choices where you get to see if it could be wrong or right. (Like if you got an answer which is not the possible 4 answer in MCQ, then you know its definitely wrong).

if you studied enough, it won't be a problem to complete the paper.

I don't really understand why they want to set two type of exams (CBE & papar) with two different form (not all MCQ in CBE). And also CBE is very expensive compare to paper base. Sigh....
Seem like they don't really encourage student to take CBE!!

P1 understanding is more impt than memorising word for word.. but u need to have at least the basic outline of that area and apply it to the case. if u notice the qn they ask in the exams are also more of application rather than jus copy and paste from notes.

perhaps you should at least take revision class.

Yo, I'm self study too.. I'm using BPP text and it is super super wordy compared to lecture note... The question is very application base surely not the kind of question where you can pass just by pure memory. Zimy do you think BPP text + Past year papers will be enough to pass?

Graduating with a engineering degree in nus this year end, taking acca currently just for the interest..

not sure.. personally throughout my ACCA papers i have never touched the textbook except for P3 as that one my lecturer and his notes really cmi.

lecturer notes are usually based off the textbook anw, only maybe they simplify it for student's easier understanding. So logically, the contents of the textbook is sufficient for examination purposes.

However, my P1 lecturer which is Mr chee, his notes are very exam focused and is really based on the examiner's style of answering a qn, which is really great.

it is better to understand the concepts rather than jus purely memorising. but of course certain parts u need to memorise.
