Thank you very much for your reply! But I have problems in identify which lecturer is better for the each paper as I am new to it.

Beg your pardon. May I know where do you read out or find out which lecturer is better?

Many thanks!

well if you are going for classes, go to those reputable lecturer, it does make a difference like their teaching style, clarity of explanation, willingness to answer student's questions, and quality of their notes. having been through a few lecturers, some have lousy notes, some don't explain clearly- makes you more confused :s22:, some lecturers do not like to stay back and answer student questions after class

so it's good to do your homework on which are the better ones ;)

imo, it won't really matter which college you attend. the cert is more impt

Ok, get your point :) Thank you very much again !!!:D

I still have one more doubt :( I don't have any accounting background at high school, I just learned some basic this year, LCCI stage 1. So, should I take the introductory level in FIA (4 papers) before proceeding to ACCA? Will it be a profound effect for the following papers if I don't take the introductory level?

i have a friend who has a diploma in engineering and went ahead into ACCA straight with no knowledge of accounting whatsoever, he is already pursuing level 3 now. so im sure it is possible

Hi people, I'm thinking of taking F4,F5,F6 for June 13 exams..
I've decided to take F5 - Sami & F6 - Yvonne.. But is it advisable to take my F4 @ Lsbf? Or would it be better to self study F4?
Thanks..

Hi all,

I have recently enrolled into ACCA and will start straight from f5.

I have signed up for f5, f6 and f9.

I am intending to self study for these papers.

I am aware of opentuition, will the notes available be sufficient for me?

If not, any knows where I can get lecture notes from credible lecturers?

Any help would be much appreciated.

P.s Since I'll be taking Singapore Tax, I would require local notes..

Are there schools where they conduct weekend only classes?

Anyone sat for ACCA CBE before? Can advise me?

1. Quoted from ACCA website. "You will need to pay the CBE centre directly for the exams you wish to sit."

Does that mean I don't have to register and pay for the exam online? So I should just apply directly to the test centres for the exams? OR the actual meaning is I have to pay the exam fee+fee to sit for CBE?

2. "Prior to the exam, the CBE centre will set up time-restricted access to the exams."

Meaning I cannot choose the exam dates? I don't want the exams to clash with my schedule and I'm planning to clear F1-3 before sitting for F4 in June 2013.

3. Any CBE institutions to recommend?

4. Are the study materials at opentuition enough to score in F1-F3? If not, can recommend some?

Thanks for all help.
