Hi everyone

I'm taking my first acca papers F6 and P1 due to exemptions but I realise there is very little time to study as the lessons finish around end April...means there's only a month to study (haven't include working time)...usually when do you all start revision??

Already feel the tension even though exams are in June :(

Do constant revision after each lesson. Don't wait till last minute then want to study. Moreover, you are working so even lesser time. But of course, easier said then done :D

thanks for answering... does that mean that I will be having a different exam paper in the same exam hall as those having SGP variant papers?

For F4, F6, P6 papers the question will be totally different from SGP variant.

For other papers such as F7, F8, P1, P2 - these are adapted version papers. The question will still be the same however the answer may be different from SGP and INT in some instances (for example in F7 INT there is share premium while SGP version don't have).

Yes. You will be taking the a different (eg: INT) variant paper with the rest taking SGP variant paper in the same hall.

Just a heads up.

CPA SG will be change to CA from 2016. (SQP)

All existing ACCA students need to complete their studies and experience by 2016 or you will not be able to be grandfathered into the program.

Meaning you will never be able to become CPA or CA singapore.

the new SQP program is only open to recognised degrees. OBU is not considered.

So new students for ACCA better consider if you can fulfill the requirements otherwise suggest u switch to degree programs.

There is no links. This is the replies based on what my ex-firm and I queried.

the new SQP programs starts June 2012 and it allows for transition until Dec 2016 for ACCA students.

What this essentially means is that you need to fulfill all existing CPA SG requirements i.e. ACCA + 3 years of relevant experience + passing the 5 days course

As such, u will need to complete ACCA latest by Jun 2016 (in that case i think it will be something like 5 years of experience pre and post ACCA).

Otherwise, you will not be grandfathered into the new program. meaning...

no CPA SG / CA SG designation....... :(

they are trying to dissociate themselves from ACCA....
